Yes it is, though quite a rare version (a GTC) and I have had mine for 3 years

348's should be a little less than a 355 to maintain and mine has cost about $4k per year over that time, not including tyres.

I'm 63 so I'm old and wise. That's why I have an FR-S. Most fun per dollar of any car out there. Just wish they were a little easier to get out of...

Of course, that could just be my age...

i may be too young to answer being im 27 but im twice divorced with no kids, i can afford to have the fun.

my grandpa was 72 when he died from lung cancer. a week before he passed i had the pleasure of talking to him on one of his "better" days. one of the things he told me that day and i will never forget was "no matter what happens, do what is going to make you happy. i spent my whole life doing what i think others would have wanted me to do until i was 50. the last 22 years have been the best years of my life. dont wait till your 50 like i did. start now"

I'm old too...
I just got rid of all my high dollar toys.. Working my way to a one car solution..
A priority of less is more... Less maintenance, worry = more fun...
Still deciding on what to get... the FRS is still top of the list right now..
Normally I would have something by now... But I'm truly getting old cause I'm taking my time on this one..
Owned 45 cars in 44 years of driving... Lots of fun... No regrets...

First and foremost, congrats on the new car and welcome to the family! I will be 30 next year and have been a car enthusiast before I could even walk upright. My first car is pictured below, it was love at first sight and my parents couldn't get me out of this thing even for my favorite scoop of ice cream on a hot summer's day! This was how I got around in the house and walking never crossed my mind until I got too big for it!

I learned my way around an engine bay from my dad and I would not have wanted it any other way. He is a man of little words and this is how we bonded when I was younger. I appreciate all cars as you can see the evolution of automobile technology with each car that is produced, but my love for driving is in sports cars. There is just something about the bond you have with a machine that makes you feel like it knows what you are thinking before you do it, it's a beautiful relationship.

The car I gave up before my FRS was a 96' Mustang that I've had in the family since it was purchased in '96; my mustang was dying a slow death due to age and it was just time to let her go. When I brought my FRS home to show my dad, who is turning 57 this year, you would have thought he was a grown man turned into a car obsessed teen. I was only home for 5 days and every day he marveled at the car inside and out, talking non-stop about how everything was designed and placed. He was like a kid in a candy store once we started the car and got it rolling; then all bets were off!

Fast forward to almost 5 months of ownership, I feel just like my dad everyday I get to drive this car. It's cheezy and other car clubs hate us for it, but this car truly is fun to drive! You can never be too old to drive this car, but I will say with a grain of salt that you have to be "mature" enough to respect this car. I'm not a parent yet, but I will say I would be very cautious about making this the first car for a teenager of limited experience in driving a RWD car....there is just too much potential for an innocent idea to go wrong.

I apologize for being long winded, but what I really wanted to say is: if you truly love driving, you picked a great car. Are there other options out there for someone who loves to drive, of course! This car is just up there with the rest of the stallions of the sports car world; it doesn't cost as much but the enjoyment you get out of driving this car is second to none.

*Edit: Sorry for the huge pic, didn't realize this before posting.*

I have more patience than money...
But It's not money holding me back...
I'm not sure this is the one car I want to drive... I always had 2 or more on hand.. So I'm taking my time on this one..

Very fortunate to retire last year at 45. Did lots of long term planning and the first thing I bought was a 2012 chevy duramax and 2nd a 2012 fr-s. Best car money can buy in my situation. IMO of course.

I'm 45 - three daughters, oldest is 16. A guy I've worked with for 15+ years who I consider to be late to mature said "what, are you in high school?" the first time he saw the FR-S. Took me by surprise.

For my needs, FR-S > Cayman because, although it is small, there is a back seat. I don't have to worry about driving it to work only to get a phone call saying "can you pick up kid A and friend B on the way home.

My P-Cars in the garage seem to be just collecting dust.......
