True, it could be a dealer installed option but for that they would have to either remove the steering wheel lock from the column at the dealer or import all the FR-S' without a steering wheel lock. Also, if it is the entire push start system that comes with the smart key, than they would have to import all the FR-S' with the door handle sensors already installed or change that out as well at the dealer. If it is going to be offered as a dealer installed option, it is not going to be cheap.

We do not know if Scion will or will not include the push start button. Its not 100%. Same deal with the climate control that we see on the jdm spec 86. There is still time for toyota/scion to implement changes and to add/remove stuff.

Parts like that door stabilizer, if relatively expensive (which I'm assuming it is) are the kinda things that I'd wait and see if ebay gets them lol. That part seems so insignificant to me.

I assure you they won't change anything from what was seen at Detroit and will also assure you neither will ever be offered as a "dealer installed accessory".

You're just setting yourself up for disappointment, so let it go, or buy a BRZ Premium.

Takata + TRD seats will pull a nice premium before RACE WARS! lol....TRD seats do have harness capability, and that's what I plan to do. That is if the TRD seats are not substantially more expensive than a set of Bride or Sparco seats.

that depends if they value thier teeth.
or, get one thats removable.

there is a company that makes them for camaros.

i had a cusco safety21 cage in my s14, with bride zeta II and simpson harness that i never needed because the bride was a HOLDING MONSTER.

buckets are WAY better than any reclinable. but you lose ability to access the rear seats. thats why i just put a bucket on driver side and leave the stock passenger seat. ricey? maybe but its cheap, effective, and you can still access the rear.

Lets just say that Tetsuya Tada; chief engineer of the 86 has said that the Frs pre-production model is NOT the final set package

Three things:

1 - Scion NEEDS to have a TRD Edition option…

2 - They NEED to get a Rotrex supercharger package together…

3 - There also needs to be the option of a rear seat delete & 4-point cage/harness bar install, from the factory…!

This would be an AWESOME model for the showroom floor, and an even more AWESOME model to purchase & have a tuned & warrantied daily driver/track day car from the get go…!!!

(Oh, and on a Whiteout FR-S, give me the option of having the roof in black from the factory, please…? Come on, it's not like I am asking for the carbon fiber roof off of the BRZ STI Concept…!)
