This is pretty fucked up. You are taking advantage of someone. Golden rule applies, if you had a shop and your sites database misfired would you want to have to spend the next working day doing crowd control?

It's already been cleared up, the clause is there and prevents them from having to honor the deal. At this point we're just being assholes for making them think they have a long list of legitimate orders when in reality they have a long list of email addresses to send an apology to.

I doubt it but I want everyone to keep justifying this in their head. They still have to cancel every individual order, not to mention this is embarrassing for them as a company.

I already work in the shipping department for a store and we do their online orders for like 6 websites. Most UPS and Fedex pick up people come at 4pm-5pm-ish as they do deliveries in the morning. That being said, we are done with 99% of the orders that were placed before the pick-up person comes. Furthermore, when we confirm a purchase, it shows how much a person paid and etc.

I don't think any order will go through and this would still be funny af if I worked there.
