I must admit that it is painful to watch concept car turn into production car. This kind of reminds me of looking at mazda rx8 I think it was from fast and the furious 1 all decorated and fancied up by veilside and actual production car is almost unbearable to look at. It looks like a squashed miata with a hard top.

Scion/FRS/BRZ/Whatever they call it nowadays is exactly like that. You look at scion's unveil and it screams unique from every angle and ever since then every follow up version just feels wrong. As if designers say... well we do not really need that and we do not need this.

What gives?!

I hope the Scion has different wheels. These wheels are awful.

I am not a huge fan of the aero kits they have to offer. Though if we were allowed to pick and choose which parts we wanted; i would definitely get the front lip with the black insert that just looks good.

Well i'd just like to tell Toyota that I love the way the car has turned out

I love the interior, im happy with 210bhp (according to which source you listen to) and i can live with as much as 2800lbs.

I think i'd have to order mine white with the half red interior and i'd need the Aero Kit that they had at the Nurburgring (minus the spoiler) just to finish it off. Im not bothered about any other options. And if there is an R version coming out with the same power but a roll cage and bigger brakes etc then im not too fussed about that as i have the GT4 for serious track time.

My only gripe is the name (or lack of it at this point).

I know its too late for the Scion.... but i hope Toyota give their version a better name than FR-S.

Giving a car a real name gives it character - hence why Alfa Romeo have dropped numbers and all new cars now have proper names.

Calling it 'FR-S' just gives it no soul. Call it Sprinter, Trueno or Celica and then you inject some passion into it

PLEASE TOYOTA, give it a real name

On a side note the last RWD celica's (Gen3) were sold in 1986.... is there a hidden RWD/86/CELICA link there? Probably not but i love a good conspiracy!

Well Scion naming is a bit different all they use is letters TC XB XA so they had to kind of stick with it as a marketing/branding thing. Though I will agree I wish they did choose the name Sprinter or Trueno that would of been cool.
