That made it the first Naturally Aspirated FT86 to break the 13-second mark in the world. It's also the fastest NA till date

Thanks bro

I believe' with this setup I can only run quicker if I work on weight reduction or changing the final drive to a shorter one

That's true. Still running the same setup as the 14.0 pass. However, I spent some time watching the video over and over and figuring out ways to have It run quicker. I knew that the key was to work on the 60ft.

Only changes were the removal of the wheel jack and the service manual

Well fact is better 60ft times = better 1/4 mile times...in any car. Im not sure what the best 60ft times are really but better tires would help...a drag radial...your 13.91 pass seems to have some wheel spin out of the box right? Less wheel spin would get you a slightly better time I think youre doing great though. Been a good 8 years since Ive even talked drag racing strategy...whats the elevation there?

Maybe a rear seat delete and lighter 17s , but i personally cant imagine this car with a shorter final drive! Its already super short.

Im going FI, and i want a longer final drive

Track sits around +200ft above sea level. Temperature was +19 Celsius. That makes it around 2000ft density altitude

With NA setup, a shorter FD does help. Specially in the 86, you will stay in the power band the whole run. The acceleration will get quicker as well.

As for your FI, I think you won't be needing longer FD unless u push 380whp or greater on a Turbo setup. With a supercharger, you dont need to go longer, coz power and boost comes with RPM unlike the turbo. So keeping it rev happy helps building ur supercharger boost

If I did a shorter FD, I might try to do a longer 6th gear if that makes sense, to keep the hwy cruising rpm (and noise) down. I know that's what some honda dudes do, they put in a shorter FD in the ITR (4.7 or 4.9) and then put a 5th gear from an integra LS to make 5th better for hwy. I wonder if anyone has done this type of thing for the FRS?

Yeah i know its going to give you a crazy acceleration, but i remember reading somewhere that you were considering with the daily drivability of the car.
I plan on pushing 450 WHP or so, hence the longer FD
