AVO is also in AUS so the conversion rate, customs duty and shipping will balance out the price to what most are already offering. For instance the ecutek tunes in AUS are almost double what we sell for here in the states. Guys with MX-5 Miatas pay almost 2k for a tune down there so do the math.

That makes sense as well! So it may be close to 4k for the AVO kit. Now don't get me wrong. I absolutely love the sound, turbo placement and overall design of the AVO (OEM look) and I'm currently saving up for it, but if something else comes up while I'm saving up that would be worth considering, I'll take a look at it. It's always nice to support local businesses as well!

I don't think its been officially said the kits will ship from Australia. They might as well stock some kits here in Washington and ship from there.

Definitely lucky that I'm in WA for the AVO, but I have to say, if was down near in FL, FA20Club is a great solution. They do the fab, install, dyno and tune in-house. Also a great company with stellar service. If you did go AVO, I'm sure FA20Club can do the install and tune for you.

Guy has been pretty busy with his tunes recently, I can't imagine he's got a whole lot of free time for the R&D car right now.

FWIW I've learned over the years that with turbo cars you wan't to spend the money and do it right. There's nothing worse than crap components that are going to fail. From all the kit tuners on here the price point seems about right. I'm sure they make a little margin after their R&D costs but anyone in business would. You can turbo a car cheap but if you want a well tuned kit that lasts, spend the money.

Do you think this was a result from the scavenge pump? no restrictor?

it was based on the pump but but not directly the pumps fault. i was setting up a turbo timer to run the pump after the car was shut off and ended up killing the pump and the next time the car ran the pump was off and backed up oil flow into the turbo. caught it early but rather get the turbo checked out before i go any farther
