The article in the link you says that the website he posted on did not give up his identity. HotCopper appears to be registered in Australia, and as I said, this makes it much easier to bring legal action against them. You think a smalltime dealership has the means to pursue international litigation? Don't be absurd mate. |

The least ethical person in this situation is the dealership and the stupidest is the person who paid for it!
BTW, are you sure that the $63k was actually paid? Someone could have walked in, called their BS price and driven it away for what it is worth. |

It's actually no ones business what people are HAPPY to spend on a car - no one is being forced to spend money on a SPORTS CAR (let alone a necessary hatch or family car)
What people are assuming here, is that $63k is A LOT of money and that it is BAD to spend that amount of money.... not for everyone. Do you think that ferrari that sold for $xmillions under auction was worth that much? Definitely not - but someone sees the value in its rarity and is HAPPY to put that much down on it to have it in their collection.... no ones business but the person who has the money - people are free to do what they want with their own money. They also have the option to walk away. It's not a big deal |

I doubt calling a dealer a scumbag will get you into trouble. its an opinion? how the hell can you be prosecuted for that?

All these high prices are all good indicators for everyone who has one on order. The more people pay and the longer people wait, the longer our resale will remain high.
I'd much rather huge mark-ups than heavy discounts, this may in fact be the only new car that you won't loose 15% value as soon as you take the keys. |

I can't see how a dealership selling a thrashed democar at huge markup is anyone's problem but the buyer? I would grin all the way to the bank if I could pull that off, and I'm pretty sure most on here would. |
