Yeah the angle of the slash cut tips looks great, this and the MXP were my final choices but I figured the unresonated with test pipe would have been a bit loud. All the seperately pieces turned me off too.

Fit really good because you can adjust up to how you like it.
Flush tip not flush more down, more left. Up to you.

Looks like I'll be getting this exhaust system. Pretty much everything I was looking for.

If you don't mind me asking, I can't quite tell from the pics, but does the mid-pipe hang low below the rear diff? I've got the Carbing diff protector ( http://www.frsport.com/Carbing-Diffe...-_p_56966.html ) on order and I'm worried I might have some clearance issues. Thanks!

Hard to tell.. At first glance I'd say the protector has enough clearance, but then again, looking at the pics it does seem the Milltek pipe is less bent (hence closer) around the diff. How big would you estimate the clearance with the stock exhaust?

Yeah, its a little hard for me to tell (can't quite crawl under the car, since I'm in work clothes right now), but I would guess I might need at least about 1.5" - 2" (4-5cm) around the differential to clear it.

  • The sound is really hard to describe. I think you lose a lot of the lower tones in the youtube clips. If people are curious, you just have to be there in person to hear it (I'm sure @vubaru and I won't mind at the next meet). I really missed having the boxer rumble and this gets it really close without going with UEL headers.
  • At first, I was on the fence between the resonated and non-resonated, but I'm really glad I went with the resonated version. Its nice and subdued (I'm a grown-ass man, dawg...) and actually didn't have that terrible drone I really hate on freeway speeds. You definitely hear it on acceleration and when bliping during down shifts, which is where I enjoy it.
  • The price is directly reflected on the construction and quality: really nice welds, smooth bends with no kinks or pinches on the OD, etc.
  • Like you, I was a little worried about the slip joints leaking, but Gary of Mann Engineering put me at ease (its all in the installation, heat cycling, then re-torquing, repeat.)
  • Love the tips, their shape by far is the best matching with the rear diffuser, plus you can adjust them however you're like!
  • Very pleased with Gary and Mann Engineering, I might go back for the under panels (pending x-mas credit card bills ). About the only thing that went wrong was that I wanted to take home my stock exhaust, but the mid-pipe was too long to fit. Gary was nice enough to hold it for me so I can swing by and pick it up with the wife's outback after the holidays.
