Most comfortable seats/seating position I've ever been in were those in my 1974 twin cam Lotus Europa. They were so good and supported your back so well that I bought a pair out of a wreck for my wife to use while she was pregnant. Later we used them for watching TV and when the kids had their Nintendo, gaming!

My OEM Audio sub takes up little space and so does the factory sub option, but I would prefer a factory sub in the spare tire.

My wife's Audi Q5 has a 6.5'' factory sub, which is more than enough for me. Even the 8'' sub for my kit is overkill. Here is a pic I found online of the setup and even with an upgraded unit:

Nah, I like creature comforts, remember I'm the guy that wants to have a CTS-V as his "grandpa car". I also definitely prefer a roof, although a targa would be nice for the twice a year I want to let what is left of my hair out.

I really don't care if I have electric windows, over the air updates, remote start, heated/cooled seats, or most other such necessities, but i use them if I have them. Usually I'm pointing these things out when folks complain about how much cars cost now as part of the reason. The 86 is about the closest you can get to a decent basic car any more.

I do like the idea of the Atom though, as @LimitedSlip suggested...

My twin fits my definition of GT really well. The only change I'd make is reducing road noise. Col. Spaulding and I drove 'Blue' from the tip of South Texas to visit a kiddo in D.C. a couple of years ago. 4 days and 1800 miles up and 3 days and 1600 miles back. Kept the daily mileage to 600 or less and things were great. Seats were comfortable, The colonel spent some of the time emulating Ms. Humfrz, a lot of time seeing the sights, and a bit of time gripping the door handle on the Cherohala Skyway and the Dragon.

Cabin noise aside, the car was great. Since then, I've installed lighter wheels and 225 tires which smoothed the ride a little and increased the noise. I recently bought a portable intercom for general aviation use along with a couple of decent headsets w/boom mikes. If the noise becomes intrusive we break those out and, aside from looking like refugees from a rally stage, it works really well.

If I was after a modern GT I would have bought a Genesis coupe, 370Z or god forbid a Mustang.

I have my current one. Forget everyone else. Give me the GT shooting brake for a new daily lol.

Yep, if you would ask mrs humfrz, she would tell you that our FR-S is a "GT" car fer sure. Keep in mind, that she is getting out of a Miata, where she spent over 80,000 touring miles, mostly with the top down. -

Actually, the Colonel had a complexion about the color of your mizzuz top about halfway through the run up the Dragon. She was less than amused when I mentioned we had to drive back down it.

I'm starting to get really irritated at 'relevant search results'. I scoured the internet for a solid 2 weeks looking for every spare tire sub option available to weigh my options, and neither the q5 or that jbl option ever popped up in the results.
