Read this DIY guide yesterday and took a stab at the clutch adjustment. I would have to say it has been the best upgrade to the driving experience over all.....

It'd be pretty difficult to get a video of this. It's raining right now or I'd at least try. Do you have a smart phone? If you text me your number I can send you pictures that you can look at it while you're in your car that will give you a good idea of what you need to do. BTW: Am I the only one that didn't have to adjust the sensor? My cruise and gear indicator works perfectly still

Thanks to the OP and all who contributed to this thread! Very easy to do, the pics helped a great deal, and the driving experience is greatly improved.
Small adjustments DO make a huge difference. I initially went way to far and the clutch released slightly above the floor. So I had to back the adjustment bolt to the near factory setting. I'd say that about two turns or rotations of the bolt would put the clutch pedal slightly less than parallel with the brake pedal which would be ideal for most. |

Thanks for the write up and pics. My dealer didn't know how to do this when I asked them!
Took me all of 5 min. I set my clutch so it's just a little higher than level with the brake pedal. I can feel the clutch engage better now.

I did this Mod lastnight. Im a little worried about it. my clutch pedal is a little below the break if not even with it. But when i go into reverse during the "test" i need extra pressure to put it into Reverse.
so Say im just sitting still i put it in reverse it goes in easily during the test its harder to put into reverse when the car was just moving in first then when the car is just sitting at idle not having just been moving in first. but i didnt try it doing the test before i did the adj so i dont know if this is normal. can any one tell me if this is normal or not? better? i did it on my phone at work this morning and i guess i was not really paying attention to what i wrote! sorry!! |

I lowered mine then raised it up some too, not quite factory but a little is alot, dropping more than a few mm from OE setting seems too much. Like it where it is, but indeed the car seems like having a highish clutch

Once you find a good pedal height, then just tighten the nut.
