Logging is a good idea regardless what tune you are on. Being self righteous, critiquing other logs when you are not even do it is just high hypocritical. ESC debacle- with fenton, EL header debacle with drift-office, no log debacle - everyone, OFT debacle- this thread.. Damn, you are winning the forum one bs at a time. |

Stupid trolls that follow me around the forum like lost puppies amuse me. So by plugging Pure Auto once I'm hiding the Visconti part of my tune? If not for Pure Auto I wouldn't have the tune so credit to both. Just because some know-nothing, self-proclaimed forum experts tell me that I have to do something doesn't necessarily mean that I'm going to do it. My tune has already been logged, reviewed, revised and reviewed again. You know this because I already told you more than once. Quote:

You truly are clueless and apparently see this forum as nothing more than a popularity contest. No matter who is right or wrong as long as you can garner enough support from other clueless noobs to create the illusion of correctness. Yeah, you're a winner! ESC debacle: Questioned Fenton's exaggerated claims and although unpopular with the ESC fanboys, was 100% factually correct. EL header debacle: Questioned claims of HKS EL vs Borla UEL hp gains because dyno results used for comparison were from different cars with different mods, different tunes and recorded on different dates in different weather. OFT debacle: Stated opinion that custom Ecutek tune was generally better than one-size-fits-all OFT base tune and OFT fanboys lined up to agree that custom beats canned every time. Shiv even questioned the validity of comparing canned to custom! And now here you are spewing BS... LOL! Last edited by Fast_Freddy; 12-12-2013 at 02:38 AM. |

Whatever winner, Since you're such an expert, tell me one more time why it is so important that I keep logging my tune long after the tune was logged, reviewed, revised, logged and reviewed again by 2 professional tuners and myself? Don't spare the details. |

Since this is originally about getting rid of the CEL http://www.bigdaddiesgarage.com/mini-cat-cel-fix.html |

Yes, I have one in my trunk. It worked great with my Borla UEL before my tune but after the tune I got a frequent P2096 DTC for post cat O2 sensor too lean. I'm not sure if the tune changed the DTC threshold or skewed the sensor signal to compensate for the missing cat. Either way, it was better to remove the mini-cat than attempt to change the tune to accommodate the mini-cat. Another caveat with the mini-cat is that I only ran mine for a few thousand miles before the tune so I can't report long term success with it. If you'd like to try it, I'll sell you mine for $25. |

So I just had this problem. Ran it for about 50 miles and the CEL came on. Got it scanned and i have UEL headers by Borla, Invidia cat less front pipe and custome axle back exhaust. I don't have the code on me right now, BUT the code it was spitting is basically the placement of the O2 sensor on bank 1. Like someone said earlier, I'm pretty sure that primary O2 sensor needs to go IN the header. It doesn't say I'm running rich or running lean, it just said placement is wrong. I will update this when I get the code for you guys

Kind of a dumb question, but do the CEL codes actually effect the car, or is it just annoying to see the light in the dash? Like, if I were to get the CEL and then continue to drive it for, let's say, 10k miles, would that hurt the car?
Btw this is all hypothetical. I haven't actually installed headers on my car yet. |

Depends on which CEL it is, as some may indicate minor problems and do not affect any functionality at all or only secondary non-important one, and other might be very major ones, thus limiting or disabling important stuff. Most commonly with catless header related CELs disable cruise control only.
