There is another event this coming weekend, the 16th-17th, also at Marina. It's being put on by the American Autocross Series, & usually has VERY fast & fun courses! We will be there both days in the Edge Motorworks BRZ, hope to see more of you out there!
sorry for quoting a reply to the wrong reply!

Anyways, you and your team were pulling some exceptionally great times!
your car set up is great! Stock tires are so fun, but fail to get a good time! I hope your battery stays in its place rather than kissing the motor!

I will see if I can make it the coming saturday again!

Looks like I'll be renewing my SCCA membership this week in anticipation of coming out to Oakland this Sunday. I'll be running bone stock, so what's the stock class that BRZ/FR-S run in?

Autocross at Castle AFB (now Airport/Airpark) in the back on the small pad, in Atwater, CA. Fresno SCCA runs it, two events, March 16th and 17th. I will chair the 17th event, come on out if you're nearby and cannot make the Marina/Oakland events that weekend.

Being without my original tow hook, I'm interested in purchasing a pair of stock ones. (Are there any owners out there that won't be tracking there car that would be willing to sell theirs?) Otherwise, are you guys talking about trying to get a group buy on stock hooks or some % off the overly priced aftermarket ones?

I just took the liberty of ordering and paid for 3 'rear' OEM tow hooks. I don't think the front and rear are different but part numbers are. They discounted me 20% off all 3 so total is 119.36. You want the 'front' at a 20% off (retails $46) let me know how many and I can befriend them again. Who wants the 2 'rears' I got coming, 119.36/3. 3-4 days arrival.

Typing this as I go pick up your 500 PMok hehe

So, currently, the 'rears' are on backorder after my purchase. 6 'fronts' floating among the country, so I was told.

The car only comes with one hook so they should be the same. I'm 99% certain it's the same as late model WRX hook as well. I know it's the same thread because I have Grimmspeed front tow hook plate re-locate that came off my buddies 2012 WRX.

I did a little research into this because I was trying to find one or two on the cheap as well... I believe the 2012-2013 STI has the same size hook. It's M16x1.5 which is not a common thread, and most of the cheaply available hooks out there aren't that size unfortunately. I thought about making a tow strap instead with a bolt and some strap material... but just buying the OEM hook seems easiest if not cheapest.

Better to have and not need than...u know the rest

And who knows, I'm thinking on pulling the trigger on one these Saturdays at Thill/LS. Thanks - one 'rear' tow hook gone, one left.

Other than tow hooks... who's planning on autoXing this weekend? I'll be in Marina on Sat for sure and either Marina or Oakland on Sunday.

Still fighting this sinus infection that kept me out last week but I (think) I'm getting better.
