I did! The one I bought came with a roof and guess what, my balls fit in it!

It'll still have more horsepower and torque than a Miata.

I have a Miata and a BRZ.

This car was intended to be a convertible from the start. Want proof? There's that stupid button in the trunk that disables popping the trunk from inside the car (and the keyfob). That's a feature usually found on convertibles so that someone can't just slash the top and get in the truck easily. The 86 is the first non-convertible I've seen with that feature. Plus Tada said so a while ago.

See above.

My mom drive a Miata like a badass. Sorry about the girls in your family.

I get enough of the 'girl car' (and 'gay car') crap with my Miatas.

--------

That all being said, I'd much rather have hard tops than convertibles, so I won't be swapping mine any time soon. It's just sad to see folks automatically assume that a convertible option means the car will be terrible.

Speaking of a chick car, lately I've seen more chicks driving the FR-S than I've seen dudes driving.

I wouldn't buy one and the convertible would make the rear seats even more useless!

I'd be shocked if it didn't lose the rear seats in the process. That space seems like a prime location to store the ragtop. Overall though, it doesn't look too bad.

That said, one of the reasons I bought the FR-S was because it was a coupe. Turn the FR-S into a 2-seat convertible and suddenly it's not such an easy choice vs. a cheaper used S2000.

I have yet to see a lady drive the FR-S. It's funny, the guys I pass wave back like on the motobikes.

OrbE, obvious trolling is obvious.

I wish more chicks drove this car. I'd be like damn gurl, that's a lovely automobile you have there. Name: Monocle.gif

That's cool that owners show each other comradery like we do on motos!

Yeah and the chicks I've seen were very nice on the eyes! I think it's a good thing if the vert becomes a chick car! Therefore it'll be a lot easier to hit them up.

This brings up an interesting point. Reminds me of the 2000GT story. James Bond calls and needs a 2000GT but he doesn't fit in it, so they hack the roof off in three weeks or something and mail them another one. Maybe Toyota just assumed there would be demand like there was the last time around. It would certainly change my mind if they planned this from day one.
