^Yes that's me on your friends list, lol. Took me about an hour to the (silver) score you see. I'll watch your reply later. I lift abruptly to get the slide started, then try to hold with throttle. But the front either washes out on me or the car comes around completely.

Yeah, I find drifting rather difficult as well, but I did read/hear that it's pretty hard to on a controller.

Yeah, that's what happened on the 1st try. That's why side brake is a bit tricky on that car. To make thing worse is, car isn't setup for drifting. Result is literally do or die drift lol

Also a lot of ppl are used to seeing those crazy vid of smoke everywhere drift in real life AND GT that ppl think smoke = drifting. Technically in GT, you still can get points without getting all smoky tires. GT look for the angle of the car, distance between the car & inner corner and speed. Like yesterday's Aventador more than half of the drifting was non-smoke drift. Even then I still got like +50k points in Trial Mountain.

So just keep those 3 main things and you'll pass w flying colors.

I'm opposite. I can drift around on a controller, but wheel is freaking hard! Especially w TM wheel. They like to auto correct, even though I have it off. So I'm literally fighting GT for autocorrecting AND TM autocorrecting.

I'm debating as well. I like em... but I rarely use that car, so feel lil waste to buy em. But If I gonna be like Pokemon Rule, gotta catch em all lol

Drifting goes against my natural instinct to correct the car sooner. I have a hard time with it.

Wink

I'll try that advice for drifting. Also while on the Mission topic...how TF do you knock over all 8 cones with the Miata in less than 12 seconds? Kaotic has done it...so please tell me! lol

One of my issues with GT is it seems more and more motorsports leaning with each generation. However I enjoy the game more for street cars (modified or preferably stock). But, more and more of the events (especially online) are slanted to Gr_ classified race cars. I dream about driving a Carrera GT or F40 in real life. However I do not dream about driving a Carrera GT with stage 3 weight reduction, aftermarket high rpm turbo and a rear wing.

So with that being said, I would probably get more use from this McLaren GTR than the street car. Though I fully admit to occasionally spending hours in the game just doing time trial with various STOCK street cars around the 'Ring.

Yeah, I was having trouble at first and took me many tries. iirc, you have to grip from the start (to get onto the square), and then yank the handbrake and do a race style (not show style) drift to be able to knock all the cones down in time.

I'm kinda same as well. All the GT series, I just finish up to certain point aka buy a car that makes me enough cr. Buy shit ton of same cars to make it specific to grip, drift or rally. From there, I buy more same cars for shits and giggles or forget which one I needed, so buy again and mod it again. iirc I bought near 10 FR-S, 20 86, 18 BRZ and 40 Gr4 86 in the GTS

Great at braking and accelerating. Doesn't have the top end that the R34 has, but really good on tires. Fuel consumption seems better than the R34, but I keep rage quitting the 1 hour Spa race due to the AIs becoming more aggressive now for some reason, so I'm not 100% on that.

I'm still tuning it since I keep getting mid corner to corner exit sliding, whether I'm on or off throttle.

Sound-wise...I'm going to get flamed for this, but I actually don't like the way it sounds.

Not bad. I got 3rd in today's daily race A, which is a BoP race of the GR86/BRZ. I think you guys will enjoy it. It is at the Suzuka full track on sport hard tires.

Update, managed only 2nd with the McLaren. It's a pretty demanding/unforgiving car. I spun at least 4 times, which caused me the lead, and also prevented me from getting the lead on the last lap when I was a couple seconds behind first.

imo, not worth its price tag, but should be a car you collect. LOL
