Apple Subaru in York just quoted a friend of mine $1700 for a set of tires on her 2016 Impreza wagon. The cost of tires was quoted at $633 (for Kumhos that are $103 each on tirerack and available), so it was over $1000 in labor and disposal quoted for 4 tires on a Subaru Impreza.

I asked to see the quote because I thought I was missing something. That didn't include an alignment. It didn't include wheels. It didn't include TPMS sensors and programming. That was the price they quoted someone to swap tires on a 5 year old commuter car.

For funzies, it sounds like it would be worth a call asking them to explain the quote.
