Many of the articles I have read also say even when they have to fire a "shot" towards the camera there are many safeguards typically used that were not during this filming. It was a pretty big fuck up all around.

As usual, we see a chain of events (failures) leading up to the mishap. Process, process, process. I know we're the choir.

Thanks ring! Was able to watch my car get smashed this morning when someone used my driveway to turn around. The ARP Carbon splitter took the blunt of it, snapped the support rod in two and pushed it right through my intercooler's core stopping short of the AC. Can probably fix the bumper and live with the shattered carbon finish but, damn.
Great day!

I've seen tighter control over ammunition in the Army, than what was on that movie set -

Some of you may know, but I became a friend w 86/BRZ Chief Engineer Tada-san while back & have been chatting w him here & there (whenever he has time). Pass yr or so, I have not heard from him, so I was worried that he caught rona or something bad. Today, he sent me latest article of his bio (only 4 article long). In the article it talks about struggle of making 86/BRZ, language barrier issue with making a Supra to all the way to now. Latest one written that lockdown from rona happened & with several… issues, he decided to officially retire. No big farewell or anything. He quietly retired w very limited staff/ppl knowing.
Now, he bought a big land in middle of nowhere (in Japan) barely having internet, living w his wife. He’s tempting to buy bulldozer to work on his land, but his wife said “No!” I told him, even a great Chief Engineer who made 2 sports cars, cannot win against his own wife. lol All in all, raise a glass, cheer & thank you to Tada-san for all the work & enjoy your retirement. |

I almost caused a mission scrub because I dropped the 1/16 hex key out of my tool pouch doing a last-minute tweak of some gear. Found it in a crack between the floor panel and the rear bulkhead while others were already doing pre-flight walkaround.
