I wish lol, I used to work in construction for a bit and I know what ball-busting is like. But his is like that, but with serious undertones. Like I am joking, but I actually kind of mean it, so I test the water with a joke to hide my intentions.

Nobody ever said raising a puppy is glamorous.

Just finished picking up and cleaning poo that he did all over the dining room floor in his playpen.

Reason-being, I had already started outdoor potty training him because the breeder, whos used to lots of empty space in Nebraska, said his current vaccinations would be sufficient as long as he didn't interact with dogs. But the vet yesterday told me not to allow that at all because even one dog could have a bug even though parvo is fairly low-risk here.

So back to somehow doing indoor poo training (fortunately he mostly uses pee pads correctly).

I ordered this piece of grass, which should be helpful to put on the balcony. But it won't arrive for a few more days...

Welcome to the joys of puppy training. Next, hide your cables, shoes, and anything that he could wreck once they get into their teething stage. Provide plenty of chew toys so learns that chewing toys are okay and not furniture.

He's already chewed off the corner of the lower shelf of my veneer coffee table, lol. I have a bitter apple spray coming eventually too.

But yeah, I have a bunch of different types of toys for him, which he does seem to like. But sometimes he just goes for the table... So far he just sniffs cables and a quick "Nope!" from me makes him leave them. I'm sure that won't last long, though.

Citrus smells deter dogs from doing things like these. For shoes, my dogs stopped doing that after I put some cayenne pepper powder on a pair that she had already ruined. Never touched any shoes ever again. The most important thing is to make clear to the dog that you're the one in charge. Pee on him to show dominance. JK, so have a strong and assertive voice whenever it does something is not supposed to.

You might try newspapers on the laundry or bathroom floor -

A friend's cat has a permanent hare lip because she chewed into a power cord.
