Which is sad given that nobody else has picked up on the interest for this style trunk/spoiler. It's sexy, but I won't be waiting forever. After I purchase some coil overs, all body mods will be next before my silver ignition gets too much fade

Why? The last update from DF-Aero was less than a month ago with the final painted prototype pictures a month earlier. Production doesn't happen overnight. Especially when it is a part not derived from another.

Well, I already have a similar lid replacement in carbon. By the time the finished product releases it'll be time to change the look of my car a bit. I up for the wait.

How's that sad? That's exactly what is wrong with this industry. Some of the best ideas, developments, etc come from small shops who are truly passionate about the platform...

I got a different rear spoiler for the time being, but when this becomes available i'll be purchasing this and selling the old one.

It's a great product but you can't expect people to wait around forever. 18 months is a long time to wait for a product. Some people have purchased, modified, and sold their cars in that timeframe.

There has been loads of other options to come out. Some people will wait. Others will not. If anything, it just shows that there are loads of options available to ultimately cater to the masses.
