@ichitaka05 I remember you being interested in how my rear seat delete hinged door would turn out...I haven't taken any pics yet but I can tell you it worked well when I tested it out. I'll try to post some pics or a video sometime in the future.

Thanks for updating it. I was wondering about it. I know you got your shiny toy came out while you were building it.

I'll wait patiently for pics & vid

Well...I just registered for Spocom Dallas 2017...I hope to complete at least a couple new mods by then. One will most likely be the 2017 red intake manifold.... the other(s) may merely be cosmetic.

I do plan on (if allowed) putting together a simple display and designing an info-graphic about my build for Spocom. Even if I'm not allowed for this particular show... a display is something I'll be working on for all my shows from now on.

On another note, I recently reconnected with a gym rat buddy who had been on the road a lot because of his job. We were talking and he mentioned he has a hydraulic swing arm lift at his home. I asked and he said it was cool if I came over to use his lift.

I've been wanting to take undercarriage shots of my build for some time now. It really looks great down there and since it is such an important part of my build I need to make it available to the viewing public and judges at car shows and other events. I will use the image once taken in my info-graphic for my build.

Stay tuned...

I think I'm going to make a pull strap door handle. I will use red nylon strap material to do it. I've wanted to do this for some time...I almost purchased a set from Overland designs but they cost more than I was willing to pay. Anyway I found this listing on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/272340171543 so I might pick it up to experiment on. I might even pick up the cheaper chrome one to experiment with.

I've never seen how Overland put theirs together so I hope it is not too difficult.

If my goal was huge power I would definitely have to consider FBM's manifold... but my goal is functional and reliable power... My build will never see the track just the street and the show room. The FBM manifold is nice... but that price though...

Also, outside of the Mishimoto products, I've really tried to use as many JDM/OEM parts as possible. All my major mods are JDM.

oops... I did it again... lol

I pulled the trigger on the Velox fuel rail kit (red), fuel rail brackets (red for now), and 2017 red intake manifold with gaskets.

I'm thinking of blasting the manifold and polishing it... we'll see what I decide. The fuel rail brackets will be polished or painted chrome. The fuel rail kit will be stay anodized red.

Now I have to see about fabricating a cover for the alternator/AC cond. and intake manifold. If my project works out... it will be made out of aluminum.

I should have my '17 red intake manifold with gaskets, fuel rail kit, and fuel rail brackets on Tuesday. I won't install anything until the weekend though... and depending on how things go, I may not get to it this weekend.

One reason is I'm planning on sand or bead blasting the crinkle red off the manifold so I have to find time to do that... then I have to find time to polish the manifold. I think I'll leave the brackets and rails as they are (anodized red).

I also want to make a cover for the center of the manifold, the alternator, and A/C condenser. My idea will require two parts made of aluminum. I'm thinking about painting these covers Beatrush gold.

My next confirmed show is SPOCOM Dallas in October... I've already registered. I should be ready for that show.

Oh ya... I forgot to mention that I have acquired a set of spare door handles... I'm going to give making nylon/leather pull handles out of them a shot...they will hopefully turn out like the ones Overland Designs were selling a short while back. I have chosen to go with a red nylon or leather for the strap.

If all turns out well... I'll post a write-up.

I haven't been able to get to my rear seat delete write-up...

So I started my Alternator/Condenser cover fabrication tonight. I'm just roughing it out right now...I plan on making a one piece design. So far I have only focused on the alternator side.

This is what my template looks like so far...

(I'll probably fab a cover for the alternator cable when I get going on this again...)

Btw, the final product will be made out of aluminum... I'll probably paint it Beatrush gold to break up all the polished parts... I feel if I polish it, it will be too much bling in one area.
