had mine done at autokozmetix in ortigas home depot. it now turns on together with the front fog lights and also activates the the light indicator on the meter so you'll know when it's turned on.

look for mike, he's the owner.

I did two things to get some extra paint protection. First i did is the "new car paint sealant/protection" offered by Big Berts and Hillsborough. It's the first thing i did to my BRZ. It gives you an extra thin layer to protect your paint from bird poop stains and other small road elements. You need to re-apply this every three months. Costs around P1,200 to P1,800 depending on which shop you go to. Both Big Berts' and Hillsborough's work are highly regarded by many enthusiasts.

Secondly, i went for an Xpel clear bra. Full front bumper only. This should protect my bumper from stone chips especially during convoys, fun runs, and long drives. It's available thru Hart International in San Juan. Got it for P18,000. Renault (shop owner) could throw you some freebies if you ask nicely hehe. He threw in some extra film to protect my door handle inserts and sidemirrors. Here is their website - http://www.hartintl.com/

Here's a photo of the Xpel film being installed in my BRZ --

do you know anything that could protect the windshield? i've been reading around the forums and i saw some people complaining that our windshields crack easily when hit by small stones/pebbles when driving on the road. could the xpel film clear bra be applied to the windshield to protect it?

Using the Xpel film for the windshield is not advisable and is dangerous. First is not totally clear and becomes all scratched up with a few passes of the windshield wiper which would really affect your driving vision. Even products specific for windshield protection such as Clearplex don't last at all and start to flake after a few months use. The best protections you can have would be 1) to have your windshield fully tinted in front as one piece so that in case your glass does shatter, the broken bits will be held by the tint; 2) comprehensive insurance.

You can call Mike of Autokozmetix at 4808602 for the pricing of the rear fog light install. He can also install you an HID kit for your front fog lights as the factory ones we have installed are just about as strong as a flashlight.

ohhh sayang! its such a hassle to claim kasi from the insurance everytime, so might as well find a way to avoid it w/o compromising visibility

Ah! A really hot hot chick was checking out your car few months back. Almost went for it but Alabang didnt want my cash.

I saw a red BRZ/86 turning in from Dr A Santos Ave to President's Ave in Parañaque City last night at 8.44PM. Pardon the lousy photo...

Nice catch of an aero 86. There are a lot of 86/brz owners in the bf area. This month alone i have already seen at least 6 along presidents avenue.

We have a security system with immobilizer. its active as shown by the flashing light on the instrument cluster when you lock the car. to turn alarm on or off try this:

Get in the car.
Check that both side doors and the trunk lid are closed
Press the start/stop button two times(all your BRZ dash lights should light up)
Lock the car with the power door lock switch on the Subaru BRZ door
Press the unlock button on the power door lock switch and open the door while still pressing the unlock button.
Still pressing the unlock button, wait about 10 seconds, the car will beep once for activated and twice for deactivated and the information panel in the cluster will say either “AL on” or “AL off”
