Was supposed to head back to my old place to start doing clean-up tasks. Old place's manager is a stickler about doing the most thorough of cleaning in order to get the few hundred dollar safety deposit back. But I'm so tired from moving today that I slept in, threw on the spring training baseball game, and took a nap.

We'll see how much I actually do there since I'm not too worried about the deposit, and before I moved in she told me they originally planned to replace the carpet and repaint the walls anyway (they decided not to and to give me a cheaper rent since I was a college student at the time.

Also my new place's dishwasher is broken, which is kinda disappointing since it means nobody checked it out before I moved in.

I wouldn't get on them too much for the dishwasher. I'm sure they will fix it for you. I know if I was property manager, I would assume it was working unless the previous tenant said something.

I sure miss Giants baseball. The only way I can get the games here is with something like Hulu plus live TV for about $45/month.

Yeah. It was actually pretty cool. They came in the time range they promised with just one days notice.

Are you in the dreaded mlb tv blackout zone?

What about YouTube tv? That’s what I use, but I pay a friend part of the cost for my account to be added to his and it may be based off his address.

There are no pro sports teams of any kind in Idaho. The one local news channel doesn't even have a sports guy. It's like pro sports don't exist here. If a game isn't on one of the major networks (NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX) then I can't watch it without buying something. I know I can get the bay area sports channel that carries all the giants games with the Hulu plan. I still need to check out all options. I'll check out YouTube tv.

Ok, yeah. I replaced all the rubber parts of the Camry. Even having custom ones made would still be worth it.

That reminds me of back-in-the-day when my new bride and I moved into an apartment in Louisville, Kentucky. On my way home from Fort Knox (where I was stationed) I stopped at a grocery and bought a couple of steaks.

I was planning on broiling them under the broiler of the oven. However, when I took the broiler pan out from the drawer under the stove and removed the top of the pan, I discovered it was full of live maggots -

So, the steaks got pan fried that night -

Lol of course not. That's just what I used to chop off errant limbs and finish the job on stubborn splits. Using tools for splitting is cheating. Bear hands are where it's at.

...

You can't see the BFM and the stump I split it on behind the stack.

Edit: You actually can see the top of the handle. It's orange.
