Ironic part is that we bought our house because it was 2 minutes away from the Siemans plant I worked in back in 93. It closed 6 months later and I have mega drives ever since. I have 4 plants that I work in now and 2 are almost an hour way and the other ones are 2 hours away. I spend a lot of time on the highway in my car.

I wasn't able to read everything below probably because of the InBev involved takeover bid yesterday. I disagree. None of you guys have ever worked with a decent level headed secretary? |

Most of the world as far as the manual goes. My auto statement refers to North America only since they seem to think that the manual is some weird exotic device that only true car guys like here. They don't get that the MT is more common everyplace else. Didn't always be that way but the mind set changed sometime back in the 80s.

You get used to it. The good part is they are all fast moving commutes. Zip onto the highway, drive non stop for an hour or two and zip back off. I have pity for those that do the city commute where it takes an hour to drive 5 miles through heavy stop and go crap.

I miss long highway trips now, great fuel economy and something good on the stereo for some quiet me time. But a 15 minute commute is hard to complain about.

I'll echo this sentiment as well. I used to have a little over an hour commute, but now it's less than 10 minutes. At times I miss it. The long drive on the highway offered some time to decompress after work. Barring any construction/accidents/inclement weather/loose rabid chihuahuas.
