So I got a 2017 BRZ, pulled the ECU info with my OFT today.

Here is what it shows. I do not seem to have a K00C BIN in my OTS v2.070 tune package. I guess they need to come out with new ones to support this model?

Yup, will probably be a while. Someone will need to define the tables for them 1st.

What's this about OFT making you a custom tune based on logged data? I assume they charge for it. How much better is a custom tune based on logged data than the canned tunes?

Yep they do custom e tunes see the openflash.com website think its $200 for oft users

If you NA in America where the tunes were made ie similar fuels and you have stock intake and standard type el or uel header then the tune is likely going to be fine and limited benefit getting custom tune.

if you have changed intake and live outside america with different fuels and have long tube headers like ace , nameless ptuning or similar then you will benifit from custom tuning and getting a tune from a tuner that has tunes developed on a dyno for those high end headers as they require different vvt cam timings than the base headers to extract the benifits.

Yea, I did already. They don't seem to respond to them, I've sent them questions in the past with no reply. I will give them a call today or next week.

Just got my oft, copied my stock tune onto it and retuned the car for UEL stage 2.

My question is there was no fuel octane rating. So there was like stage 1.bin, Stage 2 el.bin, Stage 2 UEL.bin, then Stage 2 EL E85.bin, Stage 2 UEL E85.bin.

I have UEL headers and full exhaust and run 93 oct. Is the Stage 2 UEL tune 93 or 91? I saw a video where someone did the brz and his said 91, 93 or E85 for all the tunes and mine didn't. I just want to make sure I'm running stage 2 UEL 93 oct.

Congrats on your purchase. I had the same concern when I bought mine. You'll need to download the latest maps from the OFT website, then upload them from OFM onto the tablet.

You'll need to remove one of the default .bin files to upload the new map(s).

Thank you. So there is no way to tell if what i have is 93 or 91? I broke my computer in Afghanistan so I can't download the new files yet. I thought the OFT was suppose to come with the most recent tunes and didn't really need a computer for a stage 1 or 2 NA tune?

I'm sure there's a way. I personally don't know how to tell.

Not really sure if I am asking this in the right thread but didn't really want to make a new one.

I've been seeming some pretty strange behavior with my ltft and stft readings on my oft. The ltft values seem be stay constant and jump around from 0, 0.78, 2.54, 3.90, and 5.56. The stft has the same kind of behavior just different slightly numbers. My afr and command afr trend pretty close together. Not really sure what to make of this. Just seems a bit odd. Older logs I have, usually these numbers are a bit more dynamic, not so static. Sometimes when I'm driving they are both pegged at the same number. Anyone have any ideas? Or is this normal? I was thinking a faulty o2 sensor but I'm still getting good afr readings seems like.

What are your LTFT and STFT like at 2500 RPM and at idle? As you accelerate and at higher RPM it'll bound around, you have to get the numbers at steady throttle 2500 RPM and at idle
