I cornered the Dark Blue FRS that lives on 4th street outside of Royal Oak. I saw him turn into his road so I gave chase. After pinning him against the side of the road with no escape I proceeded to tell him about this website. Hopefully he will be on shortly.

Once again our mantra. Assimilate or die!

it's official I will be at Waterford Hills on the 19th of July as my first Track Day in Michigan. I will gladly take people as passengers but they will most likely make me do my first session with an instructor to prove I know what I'm doing.

I heard crickets this morning for the first time in 3 months.
I really thought my replacement fuel pump was going to be a good one. Apparently not.

I had my pump replaced 3 times (I was going to lemon law the car) and each time it got louder. Now it's so loud some of my friends don't like riding in it. I am turning the car into just a track/autoX car and getting something different for daily driving.

I'll be there to spectate. I'm going to be taking pictures at well. I'd like a ride along for one session if you'll have me.

Yeah no problem 3 balls racing seems a little laid back and they are definitely a very small club compared to what I am use to in AZ with 100+ cars at each event. Not sure I will Track very many times with them as they have really no policy on contact between cars. Most clubs have a corner worker that confirms who was at fault and they have to make arrangements to fix the car they hit before being allowed back on the track.

Has anyone actually had them replaced and actually go away for good? As far as I know it's not like it's a faulty pump, the pump they use just makes that noise. Weird that yours is really loud. I kind of like it honestly... Reminds me of turbo whistle at idle on a 1.9 vw tdi diesel without a muffler (they didn't need them)

I heard somewhere that the chirping goes away after 10k miles on the pump. I only heard it in passing and theres no real data to back it up but the chirping in my car doesn't bother me really bother me so I'm not going to bother with the replacement just yet.

Yeah mine doesn't bother me as much anymore and until someone points it out I really just tone it out and don't pay attention to it.

Have you guys noticed that their are like none of these in Michigan... I have been looking for a daily driver and they all ask what else I have when I tell them they look at me like it doesn't exist. Hell one guy flat out told me it was a concept that never got released... I see at least 2 or 3 a day in Phoenix on my 11 mile trip to and from work.

There is no fix, kind of luck of the draw. I confirmed with a Toyota engineer they are just replacing the old pumps with the exact same pump so no real fix. This is a common theme with this car, they did no winter testing and a lot of things that can be bothersome have no fixes at all yet.

Pick up a Cayman for daily driver! I am!

I don't think anyone has put enough miles on to say that it is fixed. Mine didn't start until 9k miles so you could get a replacement and be good for another 9k and think everything is right as rain.

This is disappointing, the Cayman that was local had a transmission replaced in 2012 so I think I have to walk away from it. My search is becoming annoying because they are all long range buys. The main issue I have with this car is the transmission, this thing plunks and jumps in 1st to 2nd to 3rd no matter you shift style. I have gone out and test driven other cars and they drive perfectly but my car is annoying jumpy, I guess jumpy. It feels like a toddler designed my transmission.

Maybe I need to get it taken in to check it out. I drove 4 other manual cars ranging from sports cars to regular old sedan last weekend and not a single one behaved like this car, it is annoying. Almost like the gears are getting hung up or something. Problem is when you take it in they won't find shit because Toyota technicians are not good.
