Can you, tS owners, confirm that it has no pink STI springs as shown in some youtube videos of pre-production cars and it is not lowered compared with base model please?
STI pink springs lower 15mm the car not to mention that according to parts.subaru.com tS (STI) uses normal Subaru coding for springs (say 20330CA260) and not STI coding (say ST20330AS000). I am really confused as I want to order tS springs/shocks combo. |

By the way JDM pink springs are not for the tS (STI) only for the base and PP models so obviously they aren't what your car has, are you sure yours is 10mm lowered compared with the base model? Last edited by JIM THEO; 03-18-2019 at 03:08 AM. |

For those with 2015 BRZ tS, this car should have stock 225/40-18, right? What is the tyre pressure recommended from factory? Are the rims 7,5 or 8 inches wide? Thanks!

You're probably confusing 2015 tS and 2018 tS. 2018s have 215 tyres.

Hey Guys - I used to have a 2013 BRZ and I loved it both on the road and the track. Sadly, she started to have some engine issues and I wound up selling her. Since then I have had a 2015 Golf R, 2012 C63, and currently a 2007 911 C2S. None were or my daily drivers. Problem with the 911 is I can't drive it to work and I miss having a "fun" car to drive during the week. Plus regarding the track, all the consumables are less expensive then the 911.
I have been thinking about getting back into a BRZ and there is a local tS for sale so I am just curious for your opinions on the tS. Thanks, Rob

Hey Rob, I just got my tS a month ago and love it. Its a really fun car and I can say that it does feel different than my 2016 BRZ limited. My wife and I went up to Phoenix to purchase a standard model and after driving both, I was sold on the tS. It also had a considerable markdown so we didn't pay much more for it, which was nice. I also drive a 2018 Shelby and this tS was meant to take the brunt of the daily driving. In researching the car you will be blasted by both sides saying its awesome or it sucks. (just like anything really) It comes down to what YOU like. Being used to something with lots of power, I found the tS was a little disappointing but on the other hand, still a blast to drive. Still, we decided to pull the trigger on FI and its no longer an issue. There is another guy (Elliotw) on the boards with a blue tS that went a similar route and also tracks a Porsche. He might be a good resource for you.
Best of luck in your decision. Tim Quote:

Thanks for your comment. I'll try and reach out to the (Elliotw) as well. Thankfully I am aware of the power issue - Didn't bother me with my 2013 because the fun and handling factor was there. This time though I am a little hesitant because my current and last few cars were quicker. I am going to try and test drive the tS tonight and see how I feel. Plus I need to see how the wing looks - I haven't seen one up close yet and not sure I'll be a fan of it. Sadly I can't keep my 997 and get a BRZ at the same time. Some might think I'm crazy for thinking about that swap. In 9-10 months I have only put about 2,000 miles on my 997. I know I would drive the BRZ a lot more.
