personally, i think anyone that uses door dash, uber eats, or similar are terrible people

i respect the people trying to do a side hustle for extra cash, but going to a multi-billion conglomerate that averages paying people between $3-5/hr to do it is not a business model that i can support even theoretically.

Yeah I definitely agree! I’ve been going to a lot of small biz restaurants and such through the pandemic. But there are times when certain itches must be scratched. Only reason I’m doing this because is a friend who doesn’t live here ordered them for me for my birthday in October since it was easy.

The amount of BS money pushed to vote for prop 22 was ridiculous and the rationale much worse.

This. I'm also too impatient and cheap to pay for delivery. I don't even do pizza delivery. If I want it bad enough, I should be willing to go get it. If I'm not, I don't need it.

As someone who has never drank alcohol ( and never will) I've wondered what about the " rough" booze is what is exciting for people. Is it just the literal feeling of it burning and having that experience be something out of the norm, followed by the inebriation? Is it the social aspect of it (brothers in arms)?

I have nothing against people drinking alcohol, I just won't ever partake, It's a long story I'm sure you could guess easily enough. My wife and friends drink around me, I like that it lets them gget " loose". I think I'm loose enough already

Try adding some bran to your diet. Good quality cheese is also a great binding agent.

It is the alcohol equivalent of eating really spicy hot sauce.

Barrel strengths are more of a novelty. I usually sip scotch or Irish whiskey's, sometimes with ice or a splash of water. Believe it or not, I do like the taste

Yea, that was the exact analogy I was going to use.

I also like the taste of a good whisky and rarely drink enough of it to elevate my blood alcohol level to anything near a drunken level. I'm a sipper with whiskey.

I have a "drinking problem" with anything else, be it mixed drinks, beer whatever. If it's in front of me I drink it like it's iced tea or soda and next thing I know I'm 3 sheets to the wind and everyone's best friend.

I am the same way. I mostly only socially drink but when I do, I always have a drink in my hand. Pretty soon I am two tables over making new friends

On a normal week I have maybe, maybe, have a beer or a whiskey.

I'm the same way. I might have a drink with dinner or something here or there but if I'm hanging out with friends and I'm not driving... game on bitches.
