I apologize for the quality. But as an update to my STi kit painting.
Left: painted with gloss black, with 1 coat of clear, and right: is stock.

Tip to top:

side by side:

There is a pretty big difference...the pictures are kinda eh. Those keeping track, I didnt put the rear spats up because I goofed and put a nice big thumb mush in the clear coat (apparently 2 hours of set time does not equal safe to touch). So waiting for that to dry then sanding and repair.

Very nice! I'm still debating having mine painted. No one seems to care except me (in Alaska). It would make more sense to paint it then have it wrapped in clear vinyl, but that'll increase the price pretty quick and I'm trying to budget... haha "budget".

Yea that is why I am doin it myself. It cost $20 for a can of black, can of clear, and wet sand paper. It is not that difficult...if you dont touch the paint early. Black is easy to do...painting it body color might be a PITA.

Nice! Glossy doesn't look too bad at all!

Here are mine in matte black, with and without the STI badge:

That looks good too. Happy to see it looks good either way, now I do have not 'modders remorse'. How did you attach your STi emblems?

I referenced the location of the OEM one and just measure it from the side closes to the tire to the center. I believe I did 2 inches from the top and 1.75inches from the side. Don't quote me though. I mean, you can even eye ball it.

I was going to eyeball if based off the the STi pictures on the net (but thanks for the general measurements)...I am more interested in how you Physically attached it to the part

I was thinking of using automotive grade epoxy in a very thin layer on the bottom then just sticking it on.

Oh I see, well the badges I bought had very strong 3m sticky tape on it already. I just wipe the surface with alcohol and then tape it on then and used a soft tip clothes pin to press onto it. Took the clothes pin off next day, the badge is stuck on there for good.

I'm still looking for my STI badges... $45 from Bayson R that I don't want to purchase TWICE. That's $90 for some stinkin' badges, before shipping to Alaska!
