Based on having to now deal with this, why do headlights that yellow, then start cracking just from sitting in the sun not qualify as a "Safety Recall"? What is more safety related than being able to have fully functioning lights at night?

I would happily pay stupid amounts of money for some type of Gorilla glass headlights.

OK, I'm done now.

Because it is something a static inspection by a anyone looking at it would reveal. If you then go driving at night, that's your own decision.

Recalls are things that would cause a currently operating and well maintained car to suddenly be unsafe.

Yea, I know, but still, we all know how this really goes down and how many people ride around with completely fogged over headlights.

Now, tangent complaint, I refuse to buy aftermarket headlights listed as "plug and play" that clearly show dangling bare wires in the photos of the harness. Looks like "some wiring required" to me. I have yet to see any that are truly plug and play.

Nowhere. There's a bit of a pandemic going on. Also nothing I do is really important.

More seriously, with coworkers in Europe on vacation for the next 5 weeks or so I've been working 11 - 12 hour days without much downtime. Once I do call it a night, I tend to turn the laptop off and find something else to do.

Depends on how it is presented. Invite her over, have a suit for her, a tarp and a quart of Wesson oil on hand. See what happens -

You seem to misunderstand the term "2nd project car." Of which the very definition is a car that sits in the corner collecting dust, hopes and dreams as you have no time and no money.

You re-use the mounting clips/fasteners that the OEM fender garnish uses. You should see the male clips on the back of the CF fins.

The double sided tape is more of an extra insurance policy, but since the fins were designed to utilize both means of adhesion I would take advantage of that and use both.
