I just installed the Nameless muffler (paired with the OEM midpipe = 18lbs) and used it for one event. While it looks like it would be a loud exhaust, it is still too quite for me. It has more of a bass sound to it. I might switch to another single exit exhaust, possibly the FT86 v2.

I put on the Nameless muffler on last week and I like it quite a bit... I do agree it's not all that loud.. Cold starts are loud and it's a little loud under load at a low rpm like up hill 6th gear / 2500 rpm. Perfect for me since I daily drive the car and do many 2-5 hour drives for work. I also plugged the "sound pipe"

I agree that iluveketchup's setup is a bit on a quiet side. Louder exhaust can probably help with not hitting the soft limiter all the time.
With the new rules update is sounds like you can run a straight pipe if you want as long as mid+back section weigh in at 18lbs together. Hope I am reading this correctly though.

"Exhaust - The minimum weight will remain as written.
The follow lines will be REMOVED
Material for cosmetic exhaust tips is not restricted.
Track pipes” and “straight pipes” are not allowed."

I’ll install the FT86 v2 and report back. I got the resonated midpipe because I thought non-res would be too loud. lol

I just put a deposit down on a black '15 FRS with 8k miles in Minnesota. Price too good to pass up with low miles. So, I went for it and put a deposit down.

SCC here I come.

The more the merrier. When is the first NER event?

Are there any regions (within a days drive from NYC) that hold events throughout the winter? SC, GA..? I need the practice.

NER is usually April sometime. I've been to 4 autoxes since 2007 (and finished midpack at the tour this year as a codriver in AS in an underprepped Vette - seriously, most of the guys were like "who's this guy?"). Can't wait to be back in it.

Yep. That's why I jumped at it. Hopefully, not a mistake, but that he does Optima in his Vette, gives me quite a bit of hope. Staying with ScoobySouth (Bill) overnight on the way back home.

Google says it's going to be a 25 hour drive from there to home. *challenge accepted*

Already started specing out wheels and colors and stuff that goes with the Raven. Will probably be gold wheels with gold stripes.

Bill used to be cool and live up by me, but got too cool and moved down to Madison area which is about 2 hours south of me. You'll enjoy the drive in the car. Just hope it doesnt snow on summer tires!

Welcome to the Special Snowflake Class!

No precip expected between now and Thursday. Not worried. If anything just salt/brine on the dry roads. (Am used to cold and snow). Summer tires don't spontaneously blow up/lose traction on the highway if one drives normally. Just sudden moves.

F/M is an ice rink today but everyone got around fine, we got rain followed by a mini blizzard/snow. The interstate is usually pretty good after a day, you have 2-3 and the worst of the weather was in the other directions of your travels.

Just make sure that your GPS doesn't have you on 694 thru the Oakdale(in the Minneapolis area), MN. The They had a sinkhole on 694, so that interstate is closed for 2-3 miles. I would imagine the detour is a mess ahah.
