Heck, I just upgraded my electrical box about 35 years ago. My electrician that installed it, used to work for Lucas Electrical.

The new one (with fuses) worked fine for a while, till the rats started chewing through the knob and tubing wiring in the house. So I put pennies behind the fuses, that fried those rodents real good.

So, your hot water is gas?

Don't ya'll have to get permits to mess with gas lines?

Re-venting the water heater - you do have new batteries in your CO detectors?

Yep, I don't mess with gas anymore, since I had a gas hot water blow up in my face back in the day.

That's all fer now -

Meh, gas is pretty easy. Use black pipe, silver plumbers tape for gas, check connections with soap, and have a shutoff at the appliance.

I would be more worried about venting.

You know why British drink warm beer? Because Lucas also made refrigerators.

Bought a bunch of whiteline parts, positive traction kit and the subframe inserts. Already have the transmission insert.

I am on stock tire size 215's with fresh Firestone Indy 500's. Will tightening up the rear end overload the stock tire size?

Pinch it up a bit, then see how much it wobbles?

Marking up the rear diffuser... trying to figure out best area to tie em in. Front part, I could use rear sway bar (where chassis & sway meet). Rear... not fully sure, but I’ll prob need 2 in the middle, 1 on each side to hold em down.

I think you're gonna need stronger tape to hold it in place.

Iffen you need some help with duck tape and baling wire techniques, I'll get Bubba on the horn.

You're doing it backward. First install a good traditional oil cooler. Otherwise, you're already selling it short. See what it can do out of the box before you ruin it. My hpde instructor was particularly impressed after he learned that it was stock suspension.

Well, that's all fine and dandy, except if you live in an area that have building codes and a construction permitting system in place. Then if you DIY (and your not licensed) and didn't take out a permit and get the work signed off, and your house blows and burns down because of a gas leak, your homeowners insurance might not cover the damage. -

Of course, Idaho may be different - do they have building codes in Idaho? -

Is it ma nap time yet?

got it done just in time! had an ez-up canopy over it, but it leaked in one spot and dotted the finish..

in the process, learned one of my neighbors has been asking everyone else on the block if they've seen me. apparently she thought i died. her reasoning was because i haven't done anything with my landscaping(despite the fact that i've waved to her twice while mowing the lawn). she's a little, um, interesting. but a nice lady anyways...

it's for a stationary air conditioner. there's no traffic across the surface. i dragged a broom across it. it looks pretty. at least it did until the canopy dripped.

according to my retired neighbor expert, it's the proper way to finish the surface, besides getting a vinyl sealant, which isn't really worth it to me. it's a 4" thick pad(on the heavy side of 4-4.5") on 5-10" of triple-compacted crushed rock. if it moves, i've got much bigger issues. like militant ants.

yes, i keep the CO with new batteries, even hold the test button every once in a while to make sure it still hurts my ears. i'm planning on loading up on soapy water, and will be checking, rechecking, rerechecking and rererechecking everything.

did my dryer a while back. still checking for leaks just in case!

i've got this stuff to seal it. it's like wd-40 for thread seals. works everywhere, and if it leaks, disassemble, add more.
https://cleanfit.com/blue_monster_in...l#sealant_ptfe

the shutoff and all the fittings appear to all be in place. there's a union between the shutoff and the water heater, so i shouldn't even need to do anything upstream of the shutoff.

i read the manual! 55' max vent distance, currently 44' with bend extension calc, 1/8" rise over 10'.

crooked pipes are easy. it's making them straight that gets difficult!

Don’t. It’s a pain in the ass to mount it to the sway bar. Make a bracket.
