Where would you take off the weight added by that Camry V-6 in the nose to balance it? Some people are just looking for an excuse to denigrate or find fault with the car, I guess.

Easy steps solution for those who bought the GT-86:

1. Wait for one of these to junk
2. Steal engine and interior parts from it and install in GT-86 (not ???)
3. Profit!

Nah, what i meant was that this car is a long way off from the lotus. Considering the lotus power, exotic material and all, it is money well spent. Because after all u can do to this, it still wont be close to a lotus

Have some of you guys even seen this concept before today?

The 2014 IS is basically the productionized version of it with 2 rear doors.

The comparo was not materials or power, it was design intent. The reviewers complaint was it needed more power, a sign that he grew up on machines that had nothing but power. Lotus is all about minimalism, not pure power. That the FR-S has been compared to Porche and Lotus at a cost under 30K is remarkable. I'm thrilled, in a Chris Matthews way, every time I get in it.

Uh, isn't the LF-CC just the concept for the new IS model?
Incidentally, the concept looks great. The production model (imo), not so much...

Let the aftermarket supply the ugliness like they are doing for the FR-S/BRZ.
So a Supra?

Nope ! LF-CC will be produced under the name RC - F.

Rc will be the cheapest line from Lexus, targeted in 50k

LF-LC will be the mid level coupe, targeted at 155k

LFA is the higest level of Lexus. Unfortunately, it is limited, and production has ended.

Again, this RC will be produced soon, and expected in the showroom on August 2014. Geneva auto show this year will have the RC production model revealed.

They're not even comparable. The Lexus coupe is probably going to be 3,500 lbs or so with relatively soft suspension and an emphasis on luxury and comfort (so pretty much the opposite of the GT86).
