Yes I know, I am providing reference points.

Did... Did you just refer to the perrin exhaust as Quiet?!!? Don't think we have the same definition of quiet as with my JDL header, perrin 3" exhaust with 4.5" tips I wake up my brother 6 houses down on cold starts...

pair those headers up with another catback and see what you cause haha.
My 2.5 resonated keeps my car down to a purr other than when i want it to be loud

I never really considered these cars very loud. The muffler delete didn't make a crazy amount of difference (resonator still in place). I went from that to full catless turbo through the OEM resonator and it still doesn't seem very loud.

Maybe I need to find someone with a full catless non-turbo car for comparison. Or maybe its just because I downgraded to my BRZ from a full catless H pipe Roush, so it doesn't seem loud to me. :P

Are you NA, Turbo or supercharged. My C38 makes it much louder than stock to begin with (also the 3" vs 2.5" has to affect noise to a large extent). I mean I know there are much louder catbacks but the 3" perrin is not what I consider low volume.

Kinda looking forward to seeing what they come up with as I don't necessarily want everyone in my neighbourhood being able to tell when I leave home and come back

I'm NA so probably why mine is pretty quiet, really though noise is relative!

I mean it won't make you deaf but you may have issues keeping up a conversation with the noise

I'll be trying out catless UEL header, stock front pipe and Perrin 2.5 resonated in a few weeks. Crossing my fingers... I've heard my car on track and it seems quiet enough. But I'm guessing going with a catless front pipe would be over 90dB.

I believe @sw20kosh is comparing similar exhaust setups for NA vs. Turbo.

Generally speaking, turbos are relatively quieter than natural aspirated setups. Many exhaust systems have failed at Laguna Seca, hence, why you see so many stock catbacks or extreme MRLS special angle tubes being used at that track.

The reality is, someone needs to take care of that retired dude who keeps suing for noise issues. For example, buy him some In N Out well done fries.

The more financial support we get, the easier it is to continue testing and providing incredibly functional and awesome products.
