What is wrong with it? It is probably the best balanced sedan on the market, since the last generation Quattroporte, and appears to be the only mid-front engine sedan. |

(Yeah, yeah... the spark plugs, but they'll last forever.) It also looks like they let loose with a black rattle can. It's still a rat's nest but now I can't see what's what. Just nitpicking.

@Ultramaroon Yes it's a little busy, but not more so than many other twin turbochrged V6. That's a lot of hardware and plumbing that's gotta be squeezed in there. |

Can't really see the size of the foot well in that interior pic but I bet it's cozy.

Thank goodness most provinces in Canada require a front license plate so that ugly triangular grille can be covered up.

its already been proven that the atsv and c63 have caught up and most likely surpassed the m3 but how will the giulia stack up against the v and amg?
sadly Lexus is really behind... |

7:39.0 - 2017 Giulia QF 503/ 442 - 3350 lbs - 6.61 lbs/hp AMG C63 8:01.x - AMG C63 - 2011 - 469/479 - 3850 lbs - 8.28 lbs/hp 7:46.x - AMG C63 Black 2012 - 510/457 - 3700 lbs - 7.25 lbs/hp http://gtspirit.com/2011/12/21/merce...gring-in-7-46/ It's uncertain whether the new C63 will improve on the previous 7:46 with just power. It will need to go on a diet. Keep in mind the C63 Black comes from the factory with extreme weight reduction measures like a rear seat delete (to save 70lbs). ATS-V Cadilliac wasn't able to record hot lap times at the ring due to rain for their 2 days reserved session. For reference, in 2009 CTS-V set the track record for a sedan: 7:59.x - Caddy CTS-V - 556 / 551 - 4,222 lbs - 7.59 lbs/hp x:xx.x - Caddy ATS-V 464 445 - 3800 lbs - 8.18 lbs/hp The ATS-V will likely not get to hot lap the ring until 2016. The new track safety updates will be installed by then (specifically smoothing of the pavement in key areas where traction was lost). Who knows if overall lap times before/after the updates will be comparable anymore. Looking purely at power to weight vs the CTS-V it's doubtful that the ATS-V would be faster round the ring than it's bigger brother. The M3 BtW is 3608 lbs with 425 / 406 Granted, some of these were older models that set their "official" lap times, so I went and found the most up to date specs I could (quickly) with tests behind them. 2015 BMW M3 - 8.5 lbs/hp 2015 Cadillac ATS-V - 8.2 lbs/hp 2015 MBenz C63 S - 7.8 lbs/hp 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia QF - 6.6 lbs/hp So the answer comes down to power to weight. The Alfa adds lightness and just like Colin Chapman says, is faster everywhere because of it. |

So This is a great place to ponder my future plans:
Option 1: Make FRS into a track car and buy a nice comfy daily (A Daily I have been in love with for a long time and would love to buy). Would buy daily in a few weeks or so. Option 2: Keep FRS as is and wait 1 to 1.5 years until this car comes out (Giulia) and buy that and have that as my family fun car as well as all around daily. The reason why I want a track car is because I want to have something dedicated in forcing me to get better at driving. When I say track I would only gut the interior and add a cage (everything else stays put). The reason why I want the Giulia is obvious. I am leaning towards option 2 even though It would go against what I initially wanted to do this car is way to awesome to ignore. Thoughts?

If I understand both options clearly, have both, you don't need to gut and cage an 86 or dump a bunch of money into it to track it and improve your skills. Enjoy the 86 as is and see how you feel in 2 years.

I am practically convinced I will not go full throttle on the FRS and just daily it for another year until the alfa comes out.
