That's higher than I expected, but not shocking.

As for higher education, jobs, etc. I find that except for certain very specific fields, no one cares what you did your undergrad in when you're applying for a job. They care you paid your money and "earned" (to Serge's point about lots of undergrad students not wanting to lift a finger) a piece of paper. Most jobs care more about real world experience than what your degree says. Hell, the last two jobs (both software developer positions) I've had didn't even ask a single question about education.

but that figure is strickly the relationship between the grant given and the supposed hours a TA is supposed to put in, the reality is that they put in way more than the 130-140 per term

the argument that they make high amounts of money per hour is the same that UBER does.

Its impossible to put a number on it! If I included the all nighters I've pulled just so that I can answer any questions students have in my class I'm sure that 120 hours would cover maybe the first essay/paper assigned!

I agree.

My two cents.

You will earn after some experience practicing that some people will quickly develop attitude problems if they view your job as their helper rather than their counsel.

Fulfill your duties and act in their best interest but be cautious. Your job will be to help people with their legal problems. If you are not careful you will get people who expect you to work outside the scope of your responsibilities and you will be responsible for creating that expectation.

Just some friendly insight. Enjoy law school!
