I feel like I am complete control when driving this car. When I drive other cars ... I sometimes feel that the car is driving me. Those cars have that floaty feel or too much power for its chassis. This car ..... JUST POINT AND SHOOT.

Best thing about our 86 cars is that there is no headlight indicator or maintenance indicator!

I have only owned this car now for about 3 weeks. I can't quite put my finger on what I love about this car. It is like it was made for me, like a tailored suit. I was driving in traffic this morning on my way into work , my wife asked me, why are you smiling? It's the car, I replied. Chris Harris put it best in one of his reviews of this car. He said, "the Toyota is a small plate of of expertly prepared flavors".
I quit smoking to buy this car best decision I have ever made! |

The curves, the boxer engine, RWD, affordable, and the aftermarket availability makes me feel like a little child at Toys R Us!

I stopped lifting as much so I don't add any more weight to the car.

Kind of like when you're with a good woman. You want to change to make the relationship better.

Love the steering feel.
Love that it looks like a MUCH more expensive car. Love the aftermarket support. LOVE LOVE passing more powerful cars on the track. - Especially the haters that say "I would never buy a twin because they are under-powered." I even love most things that people hate. I love that the road noise is loud in the cabin. I love that the interior feels cheap and lightweight.

The overall balance of form, function, features, low initial cost, reasonable maintenance and insurance rating. This lightweight F/R coupe package hasn't been available for years.
It's been a real plus meeting so many knowledgeable owners who appreciate a stock car for what it is, and the other 90% who modify them into track day and SEMA stars. We're so fortunate to have the twins available in the US for the lowest cost and greatest aftermarket support compared to anywhere else in the world. |

Might sound a little odd, but my favourite thing about the twins was how instantly comfortable I felt in the car, on my very first test drive.
Everything seemed oddly natural like I had already owned the car for a year or two. I changed lanes, zipped round traffic and was more focused on the road around me than the car I was in. Kinda like touch typing on a PC and never needing to take my eyes off the screen. |
