If you thought BRZ was loud, wait till you get into the 370z...it made my experience worse with high-flow cats plus resonated exhaust. Also, my STi was louder too. Yes, touchscreen sucks, but there are plenty of aftermarket options for you to swap it out with. As for the bluetooth, just get a set of earbuds for your phone! But, you sold your car already. Good luck with your next choices OP.

I find a lot of people don't know how to drive this car properly.
I think OP isn't one of those people - just someone whose needs changed - but I talked to one of the service guys at a Subaru dealership - his girlfriend bought the BRZ and hates it because "it's slow (true) and it guzzles gas (untrue)"
And this was a Subaru tech - who basically wrote the car off as "a POS" - given that his gf only managed 450km per tank of gas, I'm guessing either she's not in the right gear most of the time, or they're using 87...
As for the "slow" thing, I think a lot of people just don't realize you can't expect this thing to go if you shift at 3k rpm... Redline is 7400rpm for a reason....

I seriously doubt his needs suddenly changed after only four months of ownership. "Oh damn, I bought a BRZ, then four months later had kids too big to fit in the back seat."

The car was so goddamn loud on the highway, Bluetooth was useless - nobody could understand me. Well I'll just crank the stereo, right? Quite possibly the worst stereo I've ever heard. Total distortion at volumes barely loud enjoy to hear the music. The touchscreen was awful. I had to stab at that thing so many times to get my fat fingers to choose the right preset. Ugh. Then the fuel pump crickets started. And the diff chatter when the car was cold drove me crazy too.

Plus, the desire to piss away money on mods was nearly overwhelming.

But in the end, I had bought the BRZ to try and inject a little fun back into my drive, but a Ferrari couldn't make my commute fun. That, combined with the occasional need to stuff my kids in the back, just made a fuel-efficient sedan a better option. I had fun with BRZ - it's a great little car. Just not for me, not at this stage of my life.

Enjoy your twins, and be sure to wring em out a bit for me!
I'm heavily contemplating selling mine, but not for any of those reasons. I've had to take it in for warranty work about 5 times now and i question this vehicle's reliability. First gen woes...

@Darnold - I had a AP2 S2K and compared to that the BRZ is very quiet (stock). I only have a Greddy SP Elite axleback as far as mods go but it's still very quiet (to me at least). By quiet I don't mean Camry or Civic quiet..I mean quiet compared to S2K cabin noise. I remember I used to hate listening to music in the S2K because all the other noise would always be louder than the music. WHat I miss about the S2K is the rawness, handling, and the feeling that the car is just so tight/solid. Don't get me wrong I love the BRZ but I guess it's always hard to get over your first love..

Totally agree, I was depressed on some level after selling my S2000 of 7 years, I started shopping for a new one a few months later. I think the BRZ has a similar driving feel that with some tweaks can be made equal or better than the S2000. I absolutely hated the soft top, no back seats, and tiny trunk and the BRZ solves these issues. I always wished the S was a coupe or even better a hard top vert.

I agree with all the negative comments on the FRS/BRZ. Crickets, cabin noise, cheap interior, etc. However, I enjoy driving this car so much that all that little stuff just don't seem to matter. My FRS is my only car and I have no problem commuting over 80 miles a day in it.

The FRS is just like my woman. She annoys the crap out of you with the little things and make you spend money for no good reason. But once you get inside her, she makes you forget about all the bullsht. And I love her.

At times I, too, wished that I had a sedan and a overall more luxurious vehicle but my BRZ always reminds me of why it's here: gas milage (I can't emphasize this enough), insurance policy, and fun! I commute 50-80 miles a day with my exhaust set up (see sig) and I think it's still perfectly tolerable and daily drive-able! Maybe in the future, I'll trade the 86 in for an updated 86 or "reintroduced wagon/hatch" WRX or STi, if it comes with a hatch version again! Also, I came from a '96 base model manual corolla, before taking ownership of the 86. The 86 feels like a luxury car, compared to the old corolla I had prior haha.

You post a problem or something that's perceived to be a problem, you get people chiming in. Get used to it.

From OP's "reasons," it seems that he didn't know what he was getting himself into from the get go. Regardless of how easy it was to read, that still doesn't discredit the fact that perhaps he should have done some more research before committing to a car that didn't fit his requirements. I just hope he didn't take too much of a loss on it, or at least learned from this mistake.
Why is my location of any need in your reply.

You sound like a fucking moron. Move along and have another cheeseburger.

Sorry, I don't really like cheeseburgers.

BTW, why were you even offended by my post? please do explain, as everyone else here has given tons of unsolicited advice as well. Just sounds like you got offended because I made a blunt as opposed to a fluffy reply.

Also, typing Canada is easier than typing in your username on my phone since I don't want to deal w/ autocorrect. Sorry you're offended by your own location or nationality.
