Seats two people. Any passenger car fits that description.

If your definition was worded "Only seats two people", then it would give some credence to the Twins not being a sports car because it has back seats.

As for the last stipulation, fast driving and fast car are two different things.

Unless you are posting to debunk the "twins are not sports cars" opinion.

Thats the dictionary definition. I think a car with 2 seats is more sporty than one that has you in the front and half your family in the back (4-5 seats). And it says 'made for fast driving'. You cant drive a slow car fast, but you can definitely drive a fast car slow, so its implying that it has to be fast. We all have different opinions on what fast is, and thats where the definition of a 'sports car' gets skewed. The car might look sporty (whatever that means) but by the book it isnt a sport car imo

Lets assume 'fast' just means above legal limits and if on public roads may be dangerous and apply your criteria to several 'sporty' cars.

I'm sure there are others, I have no problems with whatever definition you want to assign but I just think it's a funny way to look at it.

Any previous Scion tC owners? Pros & cons vs. the tC?

I beg to differ. You can indeed drive a slow car fast and have WAY more fun than driving a fast car slow.
Hence one of the many virtues of this car/platform.

The main problem is why the FUCK is there ANOTHER thread comparing the two? They aren't even in the same bracket.

The only thing they have in common is who they're marketed towards: young adults...or in this forum's case teenagers spending Mom's money on RocketBunny kits only to sell them soon after.

This is apples to oranges at it's finest. If you're asking this question then just get the tC.

the frs/brz have the genes of a sports car (low center of gravity, fun to drive/handling) but lack the oomph.

-370z? sit in a 370 and an 86 and see which has a better seating position for a "sports car"... also... base 370z is like $28k new... about the same range as a high end frs-brz. it also shares the same base motor as a Nissan Maxima and every other v6 Nissan has to offer... i guess it is also not a sports car?

So Subaru and Toyota had to joint develop an engine... d4s and all... for an economy car?

so horsepower is what makes a sports car??? so i guess the lotus elise with 180hp motor that is the same motor in a 2006 Toyota Corolla XRS not a sports car??? the same motor in a celica GT-s... not a sports car???

The Twins are sports cars... that happen to be affordable.

...Subaru/Toyota even went as far as making sure the cargo space was enough for a set of 4 wheels and a jack... for what? to get groceries? lol. The twins were built for a purpose. being an economy car is not that purpose
Supras can handle. You just need to be around them more instead of repeating hearsay. :P

I do miss my tC. "POS" may have been a bit harsh. That said, I would not go back for anything.

I have TOO much space in my FRS's trunk 99.999% of the time. I almost filled my trunk up the other day. I could have had way more room if I put the seats down.

I'll just go to lowes/home depot and rent a truck for an hour if I need to move something I cannot fit.

Supra handles like shit? Ok.
370z shares same chassis as the maximas and was not built from the ground up like the frs.
The elise weighs 2000lbs.
Rotary is more reliable then your standard piston engine.

the only thing keeping the twins alive in sales is that it is cheap rwd sports car.
