I'm not sure if anyone in this thread is still interest in the 4th brake light but newegg has it listed for $48 with free shipping. I was able to confirm that it's the correct item and they sent me these pictures.

The top of the housing unclips/separates from the forward most edge, and then the top part of the shell sort of slides forward and up to come off. It looks like one of the slide clips on that side didn't catch when it was put back together. I have my OEM 3rd brake light out if you want me to take a pic.

I made a carbon fiber 3rd brake light, link is here if anyone is interested. It's not quite plug and play, the rear deck liner and c pillar cover need to be removed, and one wire cut. Anyways, let me know what you think!
