For a complete new-guy to autosports, this car begs to be taken to a slalom. You will have fun and the organizers tend to be very new-guy friendly.

The other bonus for a slalom is that the participants will admire your ride while the strip crew will make fun of you.

I've never once been made fun of by "strip guys" with my car, in fact most of them compliment me on it. I slalom my car and drag race it, yes some compromises have to be made but it's not drastic like "holy crap I can't turn!!"
