yea, no doubt... 1500 is "too cheap" judging from what others have been quoted/paid from reputable installers...
but then if i really think about it, vinyl installers are making way too much off of labor charges, imo... i will most likely go the plasti-dip route... will probably have to skip white though ;{

its glossed with matte. im so so on it right now. but it hasnt cured yet either.
its more for protecting my paint for my 5500km move next month

I have fully dipped my FR-S a few times, and caught much hate from fellow car people because of it but i like that i can change the look of my car for what i am doing at the time. Like advertising for what movie my theatre is showing.
  and here is a my latest full dip. Its not completed yet but when it is i will post it.

I peeled mine, not so much due to the dip, but the craftsmanship of the "pro shop" that did it. Every time I looked there was a major imperfection. Once the number got higher than all my fingers and toes, Off it came.
I will say that the stuff is super easy to take off, and actually kinda satisfying.
