Yeah, definitely drop it in the AZ86 thread. That's where we all shop. And also the for sale thread, but the locals all check AZ thread first.
That looks awesome by the way.

Sounds good @kdmxdgt and @kavanagh. That's what I'll do when the time comes.

So this weekend I added another drone tube, which works in a different RPM range. The exhaust note is pretty darn sexy, granted that's coming from someone who has put 20+ hours into it so I am biased haha. I am working on doing a youtube video but I have to make sure it accurately gets the exhaust note. Sorry for the blurry pic as well.

I also started working on CAD for another project . Working with the machinist and my partner to come up with a light and cheap options out there . Still a ways away but fun stuff happening.

Quick video of the sound. Both my Go Pro and my camera don't pick up the sound all that well though .

Please use female heim joints at the frame end of the LCA, so the threaded rod itself will be the the adjustment mechanism. I hate seeing LCAs where the heim joint is attached to a threaded rod and you need to unbolt it, adjust it out or in, then bolt it back up.

Picture of what I'm talking about, for reference.

@gramicci101, thank you for that design idea. I don't see a reason we shouldn't go that route pending it doesn't introduce some structural issue which I don't see it doing so.

Went to California for the 4th and took a few cool pictures. Aluminum exhaust and splitter held up to 80+MPH and 100+ degrees of heat.

I can't wait till the new splitter tie kit comes out. It will look so much better and cleaner. I'm not sure why but I had a lot of people rubber necking the car and at least 5 people took photos while driving around, on the highway, and while parking.

First night I received shipment thanks to Clint @ Heuberger.

Splitter designed and built. It now completely reduces the effects of lift at 100mph and creates downforce, a very good thing.

FEA on splitter showing deflection at 100 MPH. I now found a stronger material while being lighter that seems to be working well.

Next up is an air oil separator that features an actual filtering element. No steel wool, meshed screens, or only baffling here. This filter is capable of flowing 47 SCFM at 100psig, way more than needed.

From there, I'm not sure where I will go...

Project Car:
93 MR2 Turbo - Heavily modified, everything designed and built by myself. It is a money pit x's 100!

Past Car:
Evo 8.5 - 360 awhp DD before the BRZ

GSX-R 750 - I need another bike

Hopefully more parts to go on this car soon, but it is the DD so its hard to justify. Plus its amazingly fun to drive, even though it feels under powered.
Nice Car and nice Evo! I had an evo 8.5 (329awhp,331tq) as well before the fr-s

The only thing I can think of is that the actual arm needs to be a little shorter to accommodate the extra length of the heim joint and screw. RacerX, and maybe one or two more brands, use this design, but most use a a male heim joint that screws directly into the arm.

Been really busy with my day job and readying build kits; so not much designing or building, but I have got a few updates.

Finished race upgrade kit (mostly).

Trying a few new exhaust configurations, haven't gotten anywhere I like yet. Never weaved before, not sure if I like it or not but I tried it lol.

I'd be interested in the muffler delete if you haven't sold it yet. P.M. me a price picked up.
Love your thread!

Op, if you don't mind me asking, what school did you receive the motorsports cert from? I'm thinking about moving to SLO to finish my degree and because they have that program. Just need to find a job up there haha.

Thank you. And you have a PM. It drops 20+ pounds of weight.

IUPUI. Personally... I wouldn't go to a school just for a motorsports degree. That's just me. You're going to pay a lot more for out of state college then it is worth. I would find an in-state college that participates in FSAE, and join that for a few years. You'll learn more there, then in classes (if the school has a good program).

Might as well make a few small updates...

Modeled the stock LCA so that we can accurately test the loads placed on it:

Then I'll post up some pictures of a dry sump oil pan I've been working on for an MR2. Here's the CAD model...
