Is the E85 tune a bit "quieter" at 4K on a stock car? Seems so to me.

Wow I'm so tempted by the OFT! I don't know anyone in Australia with one yet.

I definitely would've gotten an OFT by now if I hadn't dropped my hard-earned dosh on an ECUTEK cable/license/tune from FA20Club. I flashed a crappy canned stage 1 tune from them before I started hearing all the bad stories, and I definitely don't want to go back for a retune. Now I'm stuck with a useless license and tune.

The biggest selling point for me is there's no need for a laptop for flashing/datalogging/reading, awesome for a lazy bones like me. Maybe one day! lol

We have shipped many OFTs to Australia so they are definitely out there. Sorry about your previous tuning experiences though. If you need any help, feel free to email us at sales@vishnutuning.com. We do offer a discount for ecutek refugees like yourselves to ease the blow of having to spent money again.

I think you'll love it.....I know I did

Assuming you can sell your ecutek cable (no sure if you can sell the license?) and you also get a $100 discount when you give them your ecutek dongle ID, that should make it less expensive for you to switch to OFT + OTS tune.

OFT Review (Vishnu Tuning Tablet first impressions)

I'm new to "tuning" and messing with the car's internal electronic computer but from what I've read in this thread, essentially by just buying the OFT and flashing the ECU, I'd be able to start pumping E85 into my tank? If so... I know what I'll be spending my next paycheck on...

OFT Review (Vishnu Tuning Tablet first impressions)

Figured I'd throw my two cents in here too...

I have been lucky enough to be using the OFT since practically day one. I sold my Unichip and switched to the OFT since it seemed like Unichip was "dilly dallying" on the E85 map.

As soon as I got the OFT I felt like I had correctly spent my money. Light years ahead of other things I had used, and the openness of the platform was an added bonus.

Also I was lucky enough to actually meet Shiv in person. When I got the Phantom ESC from Rob in Canada, Shiv couldn't wait to get his hands on the ESC and play around tuning for it. So we setup a time to meet in the Bay Area and I spent 10 hours watching Shiv work his magic. He not only completely mapped the ESC for 91 that day but also spent the time creating an E85 map as well.

Shiv knows his $-h-i-t. Plain and simple. And he will go the extra mile for his customers, because like others have said on here, I have emailed him at midnight and gotten responses back in a few minutes.

Lastly, I have the great pleasure of watching Shiv work his magic again on my car soon, when he swings down to my school's (I'm a teacher) dyno to further develop the ESC maps for multiple variations of aftermarket parts.

I know in California the highest octane is 91. Here in Florida we have 93. Since your OTS tunes are for 91 octane am I wasting money buying 93 octane or will I still get better performance?

I also question on this. I believe the tune was based on 91 octane, but some states use 93 (MD as well).

The E85 tune should probably be illegal. It promotes fun in excess amounts.
