I agree, it isn't very difficult to tighten them down given the right tools. All the headers I've worked on (Borla, Revworks, P&L) for this car have been a PITA.

We just did an install video, and there is no hard to reach part for install, all you need is a simple knucle and a 14mm deep.. Plenty of room, no way near as hard as borla or the others. Very easy.

What you've shown looks like it would be as easy to install as the Rev Works UEL. Six nuts on the exhaust ports, two on the overpipe. The trick is letting the exhaust cool down and use some penetrating oil on the OP nuts before touching them with a wrench. The cats in the stock header get HOT, so those OP nuts got really rusty and crusty on mine.

If your header passes smog, it'd be a no-brainer item for those poor bastards who have to pass emissions.

The welds look fine. Don't listed to these keyboard warriors speedfactory. Thanks for posting and get the price/dyno/vid out asap.
I don't know about the sub welder, but I passed QC-7 certs in SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW at Hobart back in 1999. That image I posted is one of the titanium welds I ran back in school.

Maybe I should do some how-to videos on YouTube for the weld newbies. People complaining that the welds are all rainbow colored and not wire brushed 'clean' make me laugh. Those colors are a sign of weld quality (weren't run too hot, not oxidized on that side).

See, we understand that OMG YOU CAN WELD TOO. But what you don't seem to understand is that it's a prototype.

Let my friends a Merriam-Webster help you out...

Main Entry: pro·to·type
Pronunciation: \ˈprō-tə-ˌtīp\
Function: noun
Etymology: French, from Greek prōtotypon, from neuter of prōtotypos archetypal, from prōt- + typos type
Date: 1552
1 : an original model on which something is patterned : archetype 2 : an individual that exhibits the essential features of a later type 3 : a standard or typical example 4 : a first full-scale and usually functional form of a new type or design of a construction (as an airplane)

con·de·scen·sion
noun
1.an act or instance of condescending.
2.behavior that is patronizing or condescending.
3.voluntary assumption of equality with a person regarded as inferior.

See, I can copy/paste from the dictionary, too.

If you read my first post in this thread, I said the welds looked okay and I clearly understood it's a prototype. My comment about the colors was to make it clear to fab noobs that's a GOOD sign, not 'omfg those welds why didn't you wirebrush lololol'.

All the people hating on the prototype need to go back to shop class and try their hand at cutting and welding before they spew more diarrhea of the mouth.

Bump for install video and stationary revs. We just did drive by's and in-car footage at lunch, so we will get those up as soon as we can.

Looks great and watching the development. Don't care about big numbers that much, just something to remove the torque dip primarily. In STX class that dip is hurting on the uphill portion of the lot we run on around here vs the e36 BMW's. An autocross torque-focused option would have me sold!
