"what hype?"

Like every car out there, if you don't know what you're getting there's a good chance you'll be disappointed. I bet there's guys over on Mustang forums lamenting how ungainly their car is and how they miss their more agile Civics or whatever.
I think of hype as to all the gossip and hearsay before the actual product is released, tested, and reviewed. 99% of the reviews are from professional institutions and drivers and almost all say that a lack of power is the main issue. So I just never understood how somebody could do any sort research, go buy the car, and then complain that this car needs more power.

Sorry, buy buying a car based off reviews and not being able to test drive it before buying is just dumb. This is a $24-28K Scion/Subaru, not a $200K exotic...
Yea and I agree it's pretty moronic to not test drive the car, especially one designed for experience and performance. I'm not sure if you're agreeing or disagreeing with my post though.
