Interested in the answer for this. I'd like to update the SD card with maps as times goes on, yunno?

142 cm from seat backs to the end of the trunk....which should mean my 156cm snowboard should fit diagonally. Woooohoooo! I don't need to buy racks!

"EPA Estimated" is the official term for the EPA's ratings.

http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/info.shtml

Quote:
How are fuel economy ratings determined?

EPA estimates are based on laboratory tests conducted by manufacturers according to federal regulations. EPA re-tests about 10% of vehicle models to confirm manufacturer's results. For more detailed information, visit our page on How Vehicles Are Tested.

Why does my fuel economy differ from EPA estimates?

No test can accurately predict fuel economy for all drivers and all driving conditions. Driver behavior, driving conditions, vehicle maintenance, fuel characteristics, weather, and other factors can all affect fuel economy significantly as explained here.
There are more examples on the web site I quoted.

in terms of seating it looks like the celica gen7 still is more practical (not that its practical to start with). But the boot I'm a bit disappointed with, mainly because having a complete hatch including the rear windows raised up just makes putting anything into the back of the car that much better.

Ah well, but then if I want practicality I really shouldn't be looking at this.

But then I want to burn rubber. And thats more than enough.

Sat in a SSM Limited 6MT today. Loved it. Interior is far superior to the normal crap I've experienced in other Subarus. Pedals are perfect for heel toe. Seats are great, although I didn't bother trying to get in the back. Trunk is pretty big, I do wish the opening was bigger to fit my hockey bag easier. The car I sat in didn't have some of the issues with door handles and such that we've seen before.

I really can't wait for May!

I'll answer my own question: yes.

If I was at a auto-x event or at the track, sure I would take that out as well. But the spare w/ jack/tools will put my mind at ease if I get a flat and need to get to a local tire shop for it to be repaired. I know you can call the 24hr Subaru number, but they would probably just put on your spare for you anyways. Can't do that if it isn't in the car.

Yes I agree until you see it at fueleconomy.gov its still seems unofficial to me. I'd prefer the 25/34 number for the manual! I would have thought that the manual would get better FE than the automatic? The 22/30 would about neutralize the cost of premium fuel compared to 20/26 for my 1990 Celica GTS. How we drive will have more impact on what you actually get, but the EPA number is a good benchmark for comparison.

There were discussions elsewhere in the forum that talked about the different top gear ratios being the difference. The auto has a better ratio for cruising. That's a pretty significant difference though.

These numbers are about double what I get in my DD, so I'm quite happy with it. Heck, my motorcycle only gets about 40 on average.
