Might not work out so well haha

It was only a matter of time. Didn't surprise me at all when I got Cel P0351 then performance loss, then the "Firecracker" noise come from my engine bay. All while on e85, Is it related? Could be.. not 100% positive.

I have a buddy that is not on the forums, but he drives a Frs and had the same issues with me. DI leaking after about 10k miles on the car running all e85. But again he drives it 110% most of the time. So now he just went with the Crawford's built motor.

So ppl are switching to E85 for power with no knowledge of the effects of this type of fuel on systems not designed for it....

United States gasoline has 10% ethanol content allowance. Fuel systems are built with this in mind. E85 is 85% ethanol content, thus over the allowance of ethanol content that the system was built in mind with.

If you can't tell, ethanol does nasty things.

Full knowledge...just complete denial. This is a production car, it's not going to have a robust fuel system to handle something completely out of specification. What did people expect??

Oh man. Been using this a little over two months off and on. A week or two of e85 then back on pump gas until the next autocross event usually. Sometimes I only switch to e85 two days before events. I will have to pull the sump and take a look.

No one is shocked by the damage E-85 has done, were trying to create a solution, so if your posts consist of "told you so" or "that's y u don't..." Just don't post, not running e-85 is not a viable solution, and if someone bought this car with no intent to push it to the limits they shouldn't be in this thread in the first place. Lucky enough we have for-runners to find the issues so others can learn, it's an entire R&D system if you look at it, find a problem, find a fix. Thank you @robispec for leading.

i think most of us just trusted the phrase "it will not mess up anything in the car" and purchased anyway....Most of knew we were taking a risk but I did not think it would happen so early in the game...it is what it is..we all learn from our mistakes! Im just hoping i didnt do any or just light damage and my car will be fine

It's really hard to mess with anything in any car and think it won't do anything
to the car reliability wise; even a simple catback increases the chance of failure
