I would rather go with factory HID's then aftermarket... For some reason if you try to match the factory color with the aftermarket color they never match up and that's something that frustrates me

BRZ Premium
The exterior of the BRZ appeals to me more. I find it much more classy with a devious smiley face than the aggressive FRS look.

The interior HVAC appeals to me more. LOOK AT THAT CENTER CONSOLE. lol

Oh and the HIDs help me see at night. My eyes absorb an extensive amount of light which really hurts my eyes (somethings wrong with my retina) and at night I'd like to be able to see all the upcoming potholes as well as some really poorly lit areas.
The brz premium has te same center console as the frs.

HIDs sure do light well right in front of the car, which is really useful in the city, but decent fog lights can do that job equally well.
From my personal experience, HIDs illuminate a larger area more brightly than conventional halogens and properly aimed fog lights will not illuminate the same area as the headlamps. I will gladly trade off the larger illuminated area for a little loss in color rendering. I'm hitting the brakes for a deer whether its light brown, dark brown, or purple.

Even though the premium BRZ and Fr-S have similar interiors, the overall look of the BRZ interior still looks better imo.

Please name make/model of the car your experience comes from.

My fogs+lowbeams illuminate the area similar to HIDs.

Mounting to the window or to the dash is neither a good idea. Doing that will block your view anyway.
How do you mount it on an air vent? I've always just mount it on the windshield, it doesn't dangerously effect your view any more than glancing at a built in dash unit would.

Leaning towards Limited because of the creature comforts (Including HIDs) and I have come to absolutely LOVE the front end.

foglights are almost always aimed lower than the headlights and fan out much wider. These 2 factors both lead to a significant reduction in the depth of light foglights provide.

driving lights would do exactly what you describe but are illegal for street use in most states

I'm not disputing that on your particular car the foglights combined with upgraded bulbs may produce near HID levels of illumination, but I think it is a far stretch to say that this would be the case for most cars and the opinion of most other people.

Didn't try the first couple, but did have some experience with the latter two. For me the balance of foreground lighting and distance lighting was not too comfortable when driving at night at highway speed. My point is that HIDs aren't universally better than decent halogen projectors. It depends one's eyes and external lighting on their commute routes.

Wait, what? The god awful stereo is one thing that really bothers me about the FR-S. Granted that can be switched out, but it is part of the center console.

I'm leaning towards the Limited just because I want to be a baller. Actually the more I think about it the more I wonder if I'll be disappointed without the fancy bits like the keyless entry/push button and the HVAC controls.

I'm assuming they (I mean the person who posted about it originally, Giccin) meant the silver vs fake cf stereo bezel. Also I think some of the shifter surround area is different but I'm not 100% sure anymore.
