This. My brother owns an SR20DET S13 and my car before the FRS was a KA S13. I drove the SR S13 today and then right afterwards drove my FRS. The FRS never really put a smile on my face besides it being new and very sporty looking. I actually felt more confident in the FRS after driving the SR S13. I was driving my brother's S13 and pulled out of a left turn full throttle and the car hit boost and spun the tires to drift effortlessly. Put a huge smile on my face. Then again, I take it easy on the FRS since I'm still breaking it in. I love both 240's and the twins. They both have their good points, but believe it or not, I think the 240 is a better daily (for myself). It just had a more direct and comforting feel. Maybe it's cause I drove a 240 before and am still getting used to the FRS.

People keep throwing around what to replace your 86 with. Why does it have to be another rwd, lightweight coupe? Buy whatever makes you happy and satisfies what you need the car to do. I honestly wanted a TSX wagon if I didn't get the FRS, but hey, the FRS was something to fill the void for my 240 lol. Plus I'm still young (mid-20's). I would've been happy either way though.

Hi everyone,

I am seriously considering selling my Toyota 86 now.

I am currently 27, work as a court prosecutor. I was recently divorced and have a 2 yr old girl, that i share joint custody. My first car was a 1999 DC2 Honda Integra Type R that i left stock and sold for a 2004 Toyota Celica. I had that car throughout my law degree at uni for about 5 years. Did some performance mods to it. Got married a yr after that. Sold the Celica, bought a brand new BMW x5. Then i bought a Lexus is350 for myself. Got divorced. Ex wife gave birth. Ex wife got the x5 in the divorce agreement, even though i paid for it all. Sold the is350, bought a 370z. Got into another relationship with a girl that has an orange Toyota 86. Sold the 370z. Bought a white Toyota 86.

Reasons i want to sell the 86:

- Lack of power, i am used to higher powered cars
- Practicality
- Considering a bmw 335i 4 door or audi s4

Reasons i dont want to sell the 86:

- I love the looks of the car
- ITS TOO FUN TO DRIVE!
- Fuel consumption
- My partner and i make a good couple

Any suggestions will be very helpful.

EDIT:

Hi everyone,

I really appreciate all the comments! Im sorry about the long life story. My life story has been influential in me buying a 370z when i got divorced to mask my insecurity and depression and in buying the 86 when i implusively purchased it because it made me smile like no other car.

Even if some of the comments were hurtful, i forgive. All love!

I have decided to NOT sell the car. And decide to finish off my bolt on build with a tune to add more power. My partner will dump me if i sell it, and most importantly my kid loves the car as well.

Once again, thanks for all the comments!
I'm glad you sorted things out. With my young age I've gone through many life and death situations already. Do what makes you happy. Wish you the best!

true, My dad has the new 335iS 2012 with JB4 and downpipe, i absolutely love driving that car with the power it has. But it's not as fun twisting the car around corners and stuff. 335iS is deffinately a sleeper with the JB4 and downpipe.

I'm slamming a turbo kit in my FRS soon, just waiting to fix my exhaust leaks and stuff before buying the turbo kit. it'll make me love the car that much more!

How can your exhaust be leaking so early? Im planning a turbo kit. But will wait it out to see how reliable they are. I'm just finishing off my full bolt on with stage 2 tune

Exhaust is leaking after install of headers front pipe over pipe and catback. Fa20club kit is really reliable, few guys have been running it for 6-9 months
