I guess my post was worded poorly. I realized that RCE had DSS's driveshaft, I was just curious why it weighs in so much less than it is specced.

I spoke to a guy there a couple of months ago. They didn't seem like much of an enthusiast's crowd. They just happened to distribute DSS shafts. They don't even have a website from what I could google. If I decide to get a cf drive shaft I will get one (either DSS or PST) direct from the States.

That's not far from where I live.

Have never dealt with them, but happy to go in and see them if needed.

@Driveshaft Shop

On your website. Need to list this
item as "2013" not "2012 Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ / Toyota GT86 2.75" Carbon FIber 1-piece Driveshaft"

How about an introductory group buy guys? The aussie distributors charge more than if you were to buy direct including shipping from the states.

Guys, I'm one of the first ones(in Aust.) to get one of the DDS driveshafts.
Ray from Westdiff quoted me $1395 delivered to my door(I'm located in Perth)...
I actually ordered direct from DSS because I thought it was cheaper. Initially thought it was $999 USD plus $300 USD for shipping, worked out marginally cheaper than getting it from over east. NOPE, with duty and GST and the other bullshit Au govt charges, the driveshaft ended up costing me $1500.

Not worth it imho, especially now with the crappy dollar. Support local business and get it from the Aussie disty I reckon. Btw, the DS had to be 'made-to-order' so it took me about 2 months to get it from my date of payment.

I think I would have to give in as well. I estimate that it would be impossible to resist.
