hey @2forme what sort of boot time is there when you first turn on the car? Does it go into a sleep mode and powers right up similar to if I just hit the wakeup button on my phone or does it have to do a full boot and if so how long roughly does it take?

It saves the last app you had open. I think it does a fresh boot every time, else it would drain the battery.

Id say it only takes about 30 seconds to boot. I usually turn the car on, reverse out of the garage, and by the time the reverse camera goes away its either ready to go or very nearly. Certainly no where near 90 seconds though.

The reverse camera works before it fully boots up? That was my main concern is how long I'd have to run the car before being able to use the backup camera. I'm guessing then it just swaps to the video output and its separate from the Android OS which is awesome to hear.

Yup, I always turn the car on, then put my seat belt on then reverse, and the camera is always ready, so i'm assuming its ready from the get go.

Boot time is about 30secs tho sometimes it seems faster than other

So far load time is the biggest con with gps signal being 2nd.

Where did you guys install the gps antenna? Maybe mine is in a bad spot.
